    No information has been released.

    You can expect information to be released after september or maybe even until christmas.

    So, with saying that the officials have nothing announced, I'm going to GUESS that it's the ArmA 3 engine. Improved lighting, detachable scopes, underwater environments

    Yeah let's hope it's not as bad as the ArmA2 engine, and they fix the FPS issue.

    Well, not making things inhumanly fast and more in line with actual human reactions is part and parcel to the Arma series and I'm sure it will continue in Dayz.

    If you want twitch gaming, keep moving.

    Wait so aiming your gun towards a zombie, only for it to have a delay (1 second) is life like? Oh wow, something is wrong with me then because in real life when I aim at something it's instantaneous.

    I read the dayz blog article, and looked around the forum for any information. I did read, but could not find the information I was trying to obtain..

    To everyone acting like a douche, just ignore this topic if it really "annoys" you that much.

    I hope the ArmA 3 engine is better than this one :)

    I'm not looking for superhuman mobility.. just something a bit better guys.

    Alright I don't really mind spending my money on ArmA2, it's not like it was a car. But, are the devs working on DayZ on the same engine?

    Personally, I think the ArmA2 engine is terrible. It's just everything about it, it even has FPS problems for most people.

    I hate the aiming, the walking, everything about it. I want it to be more "free" when you walk and aim.. if you get what I mean? On ArmA it feels so.. stuck? If that makes any sense?

    I use 1920x1080 resolution + 3D Resolution, I turn down everything as low as possible and get 60 FPS, 30 fps when there's stuff going on. This is a shock to me, since I can run most games with very good FPS.

    I even tried overclocking, but it does not help.

    I recommend playing the arma 2 basic training, just so you know some simple controls. To open doors, pick up items, get in cars, reload, and pretty much any other command, use the middle mouse button. G opens your inventory. Also, text chat only carries about 40 meters, and voice chat for 80 meters. either that, or they were using vehicle chat instead of the normal chat.

    Oh okay will do. Can I find basic training on A:OA, or the arma trial itself?

    Okay so the last night I met some survivors, I tried to speak to them because they were inside of this white sedan and I used "/" to type to them. I was asking them questions and my text appeared as green, but got no reply. His text was white so this made be wonder if I was doing something wrong.

    Secondly, me and the survivor found other survivors in a car, I kept running in the front of the car for attention and they didn't do anything but stop right by me every now and then, as if they were subtly telling me to get in. I tried to get in.. pressed random keystrokes.. clicked left & right click, but I don't know how to get in :|

    Can anyone help me out? xD

    You only need operation arrowhead. You can download the demo for arma 2 and then install OA. Theres an installation wiki that walks you through it.

    Yes it is worth it. Especially if you have friends and doubly so if you are mature and realize that it is still in alpha and there will be horrible bugs that cause you to die and lose all of your shit through no fault of your own.

    Wow, this is why I hate people trying to sell me stuff .. liars.

    Okay, first off do I have to buy ArmA II AND Operation Arrowhead (Combined Operations) for this mod to work? I know the steam page tells me this, but I don't like to believe what people that are trying to make some money say so I want to make sure.

    Secondly, is this mod worth it? It's only in its Alpha, is it really worth the $24? Should I wait?
