they aren't doing the same thing as rocket they hijacked his mod and put it on a new map. thats not innovative or game changing thats stealing and disrespectful to rocket.

read they are going to be updating the mod along with the standalone so I don't think it is dead or dieing.

the re-spawn is not removed if you have broken legs you can re-spawn. hackers are the issue not the re-spawn or lack of it. if you get spawned in the ocean make sure you have a friend who is willing to get a boat and pick you up. a fix would be that if you are Xmeters away from the shore you can re-spawn but fully bringing it back will not solve anything.

I think it is poke at world of warcraft more then anything... but who knows.

lingor island is an unofficial map. they probably have there own forums go look there this is the official dayz forum not for a map that hijacked the mod.

I like the idea if you can get enough wire fencing some sandbags close off a small area at first then expand as the community grows. I would be glad to help when I can. can't wait to see how far this can go.

no trade servers but there are plenty of people willing to trade if you look.

make sure your crouch walking and not crouch running it makes a difference. take it slow and move around buildings don't cross an open area unless absolutely necessary or to get to the next house. stick to the outskirts of small towns unless you are sure you can make it farther. this is what I do it works for avoiding players after just spawning and get you gear with less of a risk. and use the forests as cover when going from town to town.

both are scripts neither is allowed just switch to low pop servers less chance of pain in the butt scripts being used.

piece of advice don't become the player you hate... take it with a grain of salt and just keep trying eventually, if people take that to heart we will have less issues in the community.

adding a story to a game doesn't have to add quests/missions to a game it could just be little thing that are found that can piece together a story. he is going to add bases as an endgame eventually if you ever watched an interview you would know this. he is going to add plenty of content but with all the bugs working those out first is the highest priority before he starts adding anything close to endgame content.

wow I like this idea, it doesn't hurt anybodies play style and adds rewards for both ends. only problem it might be complicated to code certain things but overall I would like to see this in game.

people have a problem because they have trouble with critical thinking. most gamers want things handed to them. they no longer think for themselves because of being conditioned that way by the game makers.

watch some of rockets interviews on youtube before posting a lot of recent interview touch on what he is planning.

it is a map of a unofficial map using the DayZ code. long story short just drop the subject on the forums.

the fact is it is not an official map and from what I know most, if not all thread on the topic are deleted because devs do not approve of the map. Some people hijacked the source and ported it to a new map with out rockets permission. the servers are also independent of the hive which makes it almost impossible for the devs to keep track of what they are doing. I would like a new map but not like this.

enough War Z vs. Day Z, each covers a different player group. the war z is only going to take players who don't want to be here. if anything War Z is going to be good for Day Z and vise versa.

do you really think the devs aren't working on these issues, they can only do so much. in less you can code a fix for at least one of the issues then stop talking like it easy. I took one coding class in college and quickly changed my view that it was easy. it takes a lot more work then you realize. considering everything they have done since the mod has been out we should be thankful that it is getting better slowly but still. unless you already have fix for the issues you have no right to complain that these thing aren't being fixed immediately. plus they have to make sure that the fixes the wrote are compatible with the coding of the entire mod to try to limit any possible bug brought out by it. I wish I was a mod on the forum because the amount of threads like this would be gone. trust me they are working on the issues but it takes longer to fix kill big bug compared to the little ones. just be patient you have no idea what they are doing and what is being worked on. don't post like they aren't doing anything cause you don't know maybe they are working on all those fixes right now. the little thing are easier to fix and once they are dealt with the devs can go full force on the larger problem. just have patience and ride it out or stop playing because threads like this aren't going to make them work any faster. I mean If i was them I would work slower and make you suffer. be glad I'm not a dev then and since you aren't. go play dayz and be happy or go play what ever game you want if this is not complete enough for you.

I would say it is abuse just message a dev and they will tell you if he can do that or not. can and allowed are two different things just because he can doesn't mean he is allowed.

it is abuse report him let the dev deal with it if he keeps doing it and is continually reported they will probably take away the server rights.
