Buy new CPU, the whole game drains so much CPU that it's insane. Graphics card doesn't really matter that much. Seen people play on ATI series 4k, and my friend is playing on 8800 nVidia.

Well first time playing on a server usually ends up loading for a long time. And updating like restarts everything server saved about players, so you have to "load from the start"

Also remember, this is not CoD MW, or Battlefield, you cannot rush in like an idiot and go rambo mode and kill everyone. Patience is your friend... (i hate cod kids who just want to go solo everyone)

To be fair, if they removed every military weapon you would end up with makarov and maybe small shotgun. That's why snipers like DMR and M107 are spawned only in military loots/helicrashes/NWAirfield. It's a part of game. Even in real life you would stumble across some kind of soldier that would have those kinds of weapons... It gives a good spin for a game, you always have to be on your toes, high reward vs. high risk...

tents not that hard, i've found them many times. But in this case no it's not robbed. Happened to me few days ago. Your gear disappeared when server restarted, also, your tent was placed to every place you tried (even if it was a failure) after a server restart.

Terrible offer, You're asking for 2 rarest drops in the game for a M4A1 CCO SD and a tent. L85A2 AWS is worth like 2 or 3 M4A1 CCO SDs... I believe only thing more valuable than L85A2 is Dragunov...

So I've been in the wilds for last 2-3 weeks, living the life of the surviver, had 500 zombies with 0 KILLS and few bandits killed (had fn-fal, AS50, thermal vision gun, nv,... basically everthing (yes, in my camp)) So my friends and I found a van in the north, and i wanted to stick there just to guard it, so i went on the hill between 2 rocks. What happens? i break leggs and die... wtf, ok so i said guard my things but it sank so nvm. I decided to taste a bit of old glory and start scavenging, meeting new survivors. So i start from beginning, spawn in Komarovo (surprisingly with superhero skin or W/E). So happy start looting (forgot how hard it is to start without weapon), and get G17. I start running to balota, and i hear pretty close Lee Enfield missing 2 times, and me yelling Friendly. He shots me dead... Is it really worth killing a friendly for a 1 mag of G17?? I could shoot him since i saw him but i didn't want, i have full gear on north so i am not really in big mess (also thought the person will stop sniping when he heard i was friendly -> my hero skin), but where did this community go? I remember days when people could find friendlies everywhere...

I don't think so, i tried today, it still wiped everything...

Interesting how "bandits that were shooting at your buss" had starter coyote backpack, and didn't have hatchets untill you told them... If it was arranged you suck, and if you just found some guys who just spawned you suck too...

if you have a hatchet or something the best thing would be to go to man mode run into houses, loot it and kill them, hatchet is so strong on zombies=1hit=1kill. They walk inside the houses so you can escape them. Before you get hatchet just be careful

That's just a bandit. That's the game. You'll see how disappointed you get when you are fully geared with assault rifles and coyote packs. This game rules on 1 rule: kill or be killed. I want to be friendly, but it's just not possible (unless you have a group). I suggest if you play solo game that you just go on the outskirts of the towns, never fully in it, run fast, loot fast, don't be on the same place longer than few minutes. My friend lasted this way for 26 days (which is pretty long time). When he started playing with us, he got killed the same HOUR!!!! Play on servers that don't have many players (the worst place to be is cherno (or elektro these days) and NW airfield). The best way to live is in a well organised group, so try to find one. HAVE FUN and remember, kill or be killed, you never know if the person is really friendly or just pretending...!

EDIT 1: Title was supposed to be Hackers ruining the game for me... So today me and my friends went to loot the Balota airstrip. As we were doing it the server crashed without any notice. We hopped onto another server, and while 4 of us were able to run to industrial part, other 3 were stuck at hangars. They were shot dead the second they logged in. They saw 3 guys with gilly suits all shooting with rare weapons from the tower. So OK we still didn't know we had any problems with hackers, we just thought they were pretty hardcore guys. The rest of us jumped into first industrial hangar and laid down positioned that no 2 people can die out of 1 shot. We closed the doors and waited for them. It was a bit strange when they sniped our guy through the building (though he didn't die he did bleed for a sec). He started screaming on direct like he was alone and that he is surrendering. And then the action came, the doors opened and we heard the shots. 1 of our fell but also 1 of theirs fell. As they wore gilly suits we were struggling to see them through small doors and more of our guys started falling. At the end only I and my friend with axe were left. I managed to shot the guy named Steven (or some version of steve) the Sniperist (also some kind of version of this). After 3 minutes both doors open and the guy with no gear runs in, i knew he was a distraction. Luckily, the dude was shooting my friend with axe not me. Unfortunately he had some kind of rifle while i had MP5 SD which doesn't deal that much. I did shot him to death but i was bleeding heavily and died soon after. My next respawn that guy Steve/n something shot me next to elektro that was like 5 minutes after that fight (he had again gilly suit and a sniper rifle)...(btw that distraction without gear was that steve bcs there were tags) TLDR; There needs to be more hack protection in this game / arma 2 game w/e. Stop going from one to another saying that "no one cares" as soon you can see other people writing it is something people care bout, you don't have anything smart to say so you just go around stacking your number of posts... ON THE OTHER NOTE: yes i agree, more and more people hack and mess things up, don't really know why the anti cheat doesn't recognise it..

Can see you didn't really read the thread, it is a bout hacks but if you really READ IT you can see it's about the intense fight we were through, and to see it was all with hackers was really disapointing for me. And since you were commenting on same content i thought it would be nice for people to see what we are all dealing with, that they are not alone. PLS don't hate here... OK you don't care, don't post just to make your number of posts bigger

I just don't see how it can be fixed? i mean if they ALT+F4 it is over, your body doesn't save and you can't get their loot, the only way you can get them if it's 1 shot 1 kill, then they really can't react...

To be fair from what i noticed the biggest thing in this game is GPU, you probably will be able to make it start, but really don't expect to have big FPS in ARMA2, and in DayZ it's worse, it takes up even more things...

BTW, for newcommers, just like i was before, don't ALT+TAB, it makes it go even slower...

So, as a title says, I am looking for players to group up with from Ex Yugoslavia. (no hate) I'm from croatia so the language differences are small and it will be very easy to communicate. I'm not a veteran and I'm certanly not a pro player, i am pretty much a new player but grasp the system and the concept of the game, have played for half a month or so now... It would be good that other players are also new and because it would be much easier to learn the game together without any pressure from skilled player and also there would be no reason for killing. So if you are from these places, post it here or hit me up on skype -> centurion_031, or just tell how to contact you. Didn't write this in my language since i don't really know if it's allowed. Started playing few days ago and if you exclude range of zombie aggro and people killing themselves the game is perfect. So the first time i started i managed actually to live quite long. Enough to get a gun, alot of supplies and a axe. Someone sniped me in a town, but i was happy since i managed to live that long. Next few lives i was able to find AK47, blood and some other stuff (watch GG). I really kill only in self defense. People see a person with ak47 and think ither you can kill him or he wants to kill you... I have no problem it's a normal reaction. The thing that suprised me is how people want to kill others. I just started and had default items (NO WEAPON). I was running over some field to get to a house, and i heard some1 shooting at me like a crazy monkey. I lied down to pretend i'm dead but dude just went after me. He had to see i had no weapon, but still he wanted to kill me. And he did, i felt like shit but was a little satisfied knowing he wasited so much ammo shooting at me.

meh, when you are in a big field and trees and houses are like 500 meters away not really much i can do, but i'll keep that in mind for the next time thx
