The timer could also be tied into maybe something like how you go into shock when being shot at or attacked by zombies. Put a in-combat status effect when you are hit or nearly hit so if you try to alt-f4 the 15-30 second log off timer kicks in. That way the only way you can instantly log off is when your clearly not in-combat. Of course I would not even be sure how to put the in-combat status if you think your being pursued but nothing is perfect.

Great idea and exactly what I was thinking. Would like to roll around with white shirt, blue jeans, and some white high tops...like some special ops dude in civilian clothing with his military vest, backpack, and weapons.
