  1. Thank you to survival servers for being so polite and fasts in your response when I was having server issues. I appreciate your kindness and wanted to thank you for fixing the issues I had as soon as possible. I also wanted to let the Dayz community know that although they only charge $30/m they are providing better service then I received when I had an expensive host. I also can't wait to see the survival community grow and eventually switch over to the community hive.
  2. My server is still down. Over 48 hours now. Survival servers claims it's their host and i'm the only one having the issue although I can confirm their is at least one other server off line (3019 mine, 3018 another survival server.) again will update my post when everything gets figured out.
  3. server is back up and running after some down time. The staff was very polite with me. Although I was mad about the down time the fault lies on the hosting company that hosted my server directly.
  4. sihte I think your server is automatically running when they send you the login info. Check your filters for dayz commander and six launcher because it should automatically show up. Try closing out of the program and re-opening it and searching again. If it's still not their join your server using the multiplayer option when you start the game. Filter for your server and join it.
  5. I purchased a server from survival servers a couple of days ago. Here is my review so far. The Good After I made the purchase the server was up and running in 35 minutes... WOW. The controls for the server are very easy to use. Unlike other managed servers they seem to give you access to just about anything you would need. I ran into one issue after the first day where my server would not turn on. I opened a ticket and in less than one hour my server was back up and running. (Hasn't been down since) The staff was extremely polite and professional when they replied to the ticket. Simple one click BEC and Anti-hack mod installation. The Bad (shortly after writing this I was told to downgrade to 96061 arma to fix my performance issues. Will try and update this post tomorrow) The website is lacking a knowledge base or any guides I did notice poor performance when many people started getting on the server (around 20) but this has only happened once so i'm not sure if it will be a re-occuring issue. The server is fairly good play quality. I get minor de-sync (when you get the red chain link symbol but you don't notice any particular lag) Overall Service: 5 out of 5 (Fast setup fast reply to ticket) Cost: 5 ouf of 5 ($30/M is the best i've seen.) Ease of use: 3 out of 5 (easy to use but no guides when you get stuck) Performance: 3 out of 5 (I think it's more of a network issue vs server performance as i'm only using about 15% of my available resources) I would recommend survival servers if you're looking for a low cost easy solution. However be cautious if you're wanting 40 people on your server and using the basic package. .
  6. That laptop should be able to play the game as my girlfriend plays on a computer with similar specs. I've Highlighted a few important things. 1. On the I5 processors and possibly others it's important to keep your 3d resolution and and normal resolution the same. I recommend using the same resolution that windows is running on. 2. Keep video memory at default. This setting is the best as setting it to "very high" means it will only use up to 512mb and your graphic card is 1gb. 3. Disable post process it makes a weird blur on my computer. 4. Turn textures and object details to low. The detail in objects aren't important. What is important is not lagging when you need to put your scope on a zombies head. 5. I set visibility to 2000 because that should be enough for most people however you can try setting it up to about 5000 and see how well it works.
