I know Vilayer gave a bann list out to my server when I bought it from them and I believe they keep it updated. But thanks for the replies, I was just curious if me banning that guy was against the rules. Since that incident I've banned about 6ish more people for doing the same thing. No they weren't all ghosting against me, i received emails with youtube links with people frapsing this and they sent me times of the occurrence. Went back through the logs, compared times of people DCing / reconnected with the fraps video and the name of the player they were accusing and banned people accordingly.

I have a few questions about the new map out. 1) Is it legal to put on public servers? 2) Will it erase your server's database if you decide to go back to chern? i.e. cars, tents, stuff like that? 3) If it is legal, could someone point me in the direction to a walkthrough of how to install it on a Vilayer server? Thanks in advance.

I am a server admin, and am curious about some of the kicking / banning rules. The other day while I was in Cherno a sniper killed one of my buddies right next to me while one of his buddies started climbing the building we were on. I got behind cover and watched the guy on the ladder. He then disappeared and I looked at BERcon to get his name. About 10 minutes later this player that DC'd rejoins the server and I see him behind me. In this situation, is it alright to ban? He technically didn't "Hack" the game, but he did ghost behind me while I was legit covering the ladder he tried to climb up.

*sigh* I guess I should have looked into other hosting companies before purchasing from HFB. If you guys are waiting for 1 person to wake up so thousands of people can play then you need to think of a change of management, or hiring more people. Basic principals of business. Wake that man up, he may have been up late doing maint but that is part of a server admin's job. Be available 24/7 in-case of emergency patches that need to be patched. This is your guy's "job" I'd hope if you're managing 100's of servers. He can sleep again after its fixed.
