They bring nothing constructive to threads, and in their ignorance/arrogance they neglect the fact that not everyone is as well educated or thorough as they expect them to be. Just as a point I will ensure that every one of my posts has; a "your" instead of "you're", random letter capitalization, distinctive spelling mistakes, poor structure and an essence of general 'shittiness'. To the point in hand. Every arguement that brings in the "Realism" factor of a Game should be instantly dismissed. Your playng a game, set in a zombie apocalypse, where you can run 15km straight, where infections only make you sniffle and cough and your in a zombie apocalypse. However, we cant have flying unicorns and scorpion robots that fire nuclear tipped dolphins. Lines do need be be drawn... but not the for the sake of realism.

Bigoso, you do realise there is nothing we server hosters can do to stop new hacks? Everything we use/do is reactionary. Anyway, my server UK4 got targeted by hackers and since then it's been virtually empty for a month and a half. It's costing me money to host an empty box.

qq, gooby pls etc. Grow up all of you. I joined the DayzAdminz forum, and quickly stopped using it because of the attitudes of some members. The same reason why I rarely visit these forums. Now don't get me wrong, it's a good place to get info - BUT, not a place to "Hang Out". I was really hoping that you would all show some form of professionalism on there, and here as well. You're supposed to be representing the community, and helping to protect our servers, not arguing semantics and lording it over other players.

Stop spreading misinformation. There's no way to "clone" some ones GUID. It matters not a fuck if someone posts your GUID anywhere. If he's community ban-listed then there have been suspicious - possible hacking - events occuring for his player. If you don't understand a subject, read up on it before hand instead of making undereducated assumptions and leading others on. There's a thread on this very forum dedicated to the community ban list ;)

You said it - Duped. It's the only *that i know of* 1 hit kill rifle in the game. Most snipers playing aren't that good at CQB or MRB, and so feel safer camped like a wookie on a hillside miles away. Unfortunately their lack of skill translates to their sniping very well. I demand a database wipe and restart :P

That's a good point. Get rid of the ban-appeals forum, players can find another server. There are THOUSANDS to choose from. In the early days there were 20-30, being banned on 15 of them would have impacted the player base a lot harder than it will now.

Yes. Hive hicupped, stalled the net-stack thread and queued events. A client disconnected, or a zombie was killed, or a gun was picked up during that time and the queued events were then processed. But the state of the object had changed, or the object was removed - therefore it's not found. that's my best guess ;)

Not correct. at all. remoteexec and createvehicle are not in anyway streaming to battleye. There are about 300k hits in my remote and create logs that belong to legitimate players, i sincerely doubt battleye will ban those because they are in a log.

It's a racist slur. It's bannable. But only on the server it occurs. I've banned people with names like: "HitlerJewKilla" "NiggaIceFlow" etc etc. I decided to police it a bit better and populate the disallowed names list in BEC with about every permutation of racist names. Has kept most of the 12 year old rebels out.

You'd actually be amazed when you realize there are not so many "abusive admins", they are more inexperienced and unable to deal with confrontation, and make snap judgments to protect their playerbase/community. Most are good admins, just not experienced. And most of the posts crying "admin abuse" are either fallacy, misunderstanding or "revenge" for some slight the butthurt player feels has taken place. As a server host I've been targeted with posts like these since week one. I hardly play on my own server any more because of the association - if i die 2m before a scheduled restart, i can guarantee there will be a post on this forum screaming admin abuse before the hours out. The ENTIRE community needs a reboot, the finger pointing needs to go, and the forum mods/admin team have got to stop making it the par to point the fingers at server hosters. hell! why is there even a "SERVER REPORTING" forum? Getting the community to police for you is always a terrible mistake. Facing all of this though - I will continue to run my server, hackers, cry babies, shitty rules and all - because I want to help with this mod in any way I can.

They don't care. It's the "lower classes rising up against their oppressive masters" mindset. The Player Police force and Humanitarian League of Disabused Players is in full swing. Us admins cannot put a foot right with people like these, they will complain that we are banning hackers and demand proof, use hacked in weapons, complain when we take the server down after a hack attack - but my god - the minute they are on a server and get thunderdomed, they are screaming for us admins to do something and help clean up the game. It's a fucking pathetic community these days. FYI - I ban people all the time, I keep the logs, and forward them to the Dayz community ban list. So far this has been sufficient "proof" to get at least 8 people banned. Taking screenshots of logfiles is going to promote the "omg it's shopped i can tell by the pixlz" Taking videos of every time we log into the server will promote "omg its edited to make it say what you want" How about you shut up, and let the dayz-admins deal with the server-admins as they see fit, stop telling us how to do our damned jobs. We're assisting the community, you're just leaching.
