One of my old players reminded me of an incident that happened after about a week of the server going live :) it inspired me to spend 2 minutes putting together a ragecomic :)

Hi, I'm Greg, WyonG etc etc. I don't quite understand how you can connect this with me? The server restarts every 4h, automatically. BEC auto-locks the server every time 6 or more people are in the lobby. I've never seen a tractor on my server, I have however today seen (and stolen) a white Hilux at balota medcamp and attempted to shoot out the wheels of an old brown truck (also at balota). Myself, I only get to play on the weekends and have absolutely no time to build up a camp let alone squirrel away a cache of weapons. I appreciate your vigilance on my server, but this is in no way evidence of "admin rage". Today: Balota, Zelen, Vybor, North of stary (where i was sniped), back to balota, cherno then elektro That has been my total play schedule today. Now, word of advice: When you see an administrator actually playing on their own server, and the server goes down - don't immediately assume it's admins raging that they've died, been injured, need a rollback etc. It's ridiculous to assume this. I try to run my server in a professional manner, i take my players queries very seriously. Now, please remove my forum address from your post. It's a "private" area for my regulars and people who actually give a crap about this server. Edit: Lol, just watched video with sound: "don't tell me the admins come on and saw his shits gone" If you've been playing UK4 for a while you would grow to understand I'm not like those "Other" admins. I take my right to host as a privilege and will do _nothing_ do jeopardize that. I always update when one is available (Even if it means staying up until 2am to ensure it's working) Always meticulously trawl through 100mbs of logs each day to ensure no hackers have slipped through The issue here is one of perception - you and your groups :) If the Vehicles, Weapons, Ammunition et al were at the original/"rollback" location - and no player contested your re-retrieval of them all, surely that begins poking holes in your assumption? If it was a dodgy administrator, why the hell would they leave their items unprotected after a "rollback"? The logic fails me, completely. And now I'm going to bed :) Night.

It's not a global ban do no need to contact battleye support. It's a local ban on that particular server. Please read the op first before making your 'I wanna be a moderator canned feedback' response :P

Another way: Players have access to an admin channel only logged in admins can see what's typed there. admins can broadcast. another: /admin message any messages sent to admin using that, admins defined in BEC or other methods. Sidechat Should stay disabled, and there are cleaner methods of contacting admins. I prefer my users to be able to contact me on our forum, or to send a pm on here, I don't spend all day playing on my server so the other methods would be quite useless to me.

Admins, you should really remove the idea of "language" from your server. You shouldn't be running with side chat enabled, a new mission file was released to remove side/global chat. Your admin _should_ write an apology for bringing in race/nationalities, admins are expected to show a modicum of professionalism, which I hope you understand. The other reasons behind the ban stand though, I too would remove malicious/glitching players if the proof is infallible, BUT, i would damn sure cover my own ass with the evidence before making a move like that. The fact is in this thread many of you have pointed at the "speaking russian" card, which is reprehensible in this type of environment. I've banned so many people on my server in the early days for inciting anti russian sentiments.

until the next banwave :) From what i heard in the admin channels, BIS are working on a script whitelist feature, which would stop this dead in its tracks. the only things that can be done after this is implemented are client side hacks like aimbot/wallhack.

Even in that case, the "rollback" will only affect vehicles/tents that were not saved recently. players inventory/states are streamed to hive regularly. If the server can't stream to hive, then the "rollback" isn't caused by the server restart, more due to the lack of synchronicity to hive and is indeed a(n un)lucky coincidence. Any "rollbacks" are not the direct intention for admins, more a symptom of another problem that was probably justification for the restart.

just report the stream for terms of service violation, it'll get shut down and he'll have to make a new twitch account :D

You mention a new engine but fail to cite any sources. Please don't spread misinformation. It doesn't matter when the patch comes out because it won't stop the 'the ammount of bugs is too damn high' posts, or the 'fix damn game' rage threads :) I am though looking forward to test the changes with anticipation :)

That's 1050 people, who have joined UK4 then left within 30m With death messages disabled it's hard to keep track of the amount of deaths occurring on my server but i receive an almost continuous stream of "oh god killed by a server hopper" on our teamspeak. It's definitely a problem that needs addressing as many people will do the "If you can't beat them, join them" argument and further damage this games play-ability.

Don't be silly, server admins cannot spawn vehicles without using "hacks", in which case it doesn't matter if they are "admins" or not, they are hackers. please can you people stop making unfounded accusations against the people hosting servers for you to play on! "ps: the Hummer with remote control and the 2 black heli with gatling (same type as crashed heli) can't spawn without a command, so there is someone cheating, and if the admin is not blind he IS the cheater." You would be suprised at how little is actually logged in regards to cheats. You need to know EXACTLY the command they are using to spawn the vehicles in order to catch it. It got easier with the last round of hacks because they were made publicly available, as defenses increase in complexity so do the hacks. stop being a child and accusing the admins ;)
