  1. yep thats the folder... Did u log in via rcon & issue the console commands loadscripts & loadevents Or did restart the server so it is using the new filters ? Who is your hosting provider ?

    How to identify cheaters?

    Provider ? Looked in \cfgdayz\BattlEye\ ? U may or maynot have the following logfiles in there scripts.log / createvehicle.log / remoteexec.log Look @ the remoteexec.log file if u got one. Depending on your provider your scripts.txt etc may be outof date. I would recommend u ftp the following files into your \cfgdayz\BattlEye\ folder And then restart your server http://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/source/browse/#git%2Ffilters
  3. Love the app, makes my life alot easier... Anyway small request, would be nice to be able to label / name the server u are connecting to. i.e Name (optional) / Host / Port / Password And in saved host window displaying the Name (optional) aswell That way can see which server am connected to atm + easier to pick which server u want to connect to aswell... Atm i am remembering the diff servers based on passwords :)

    Admin Server Log In Script restriction # 62 Error

    Its not a hfb issue, more an admin noticing the new updated scripts.txt kicks admins off the server. There is hacking scripts that use the admin panels to inject scripts, so to prevent it kicks u off the server Anyway to do any admin messages to all players / console commands etc Download & use http://dayzmod.com/f...l-v03-24082012/ Dont forget to edit the file cfgdayz\BattlEye\BEServer_active_XXXX.cfg and restart the server afterwards to setup a rcon password RConPassword 1234567890 MaxPing 300 ----------------------------------- ----------------------------------- Newer / updated scripts are @ http://code.google.c...se/#git/filters That u can ftp in the battleye folder + use the console commands below (so u dont need to restart the server, after u update the filters / bans.txt) loadbans loadscripts loadevents
  5. Battleye will / should update by itself so don't worry about that. Sounds like u are renting a slotted / managed dayz server so u dont have access to manually update it anyways. http://code.google.c...se/#git/filters Dont worry if u are missing the files.... Just upload all 3 of those files into your battleye folder, u should have access to do that. They are the filter / settings for battleye to restrict / kick / log the scripts that are ran on your server. Without them your server is pretty much running with no protection against scripts etc...

    What u see is what i got atm, between this thread and dayz-community-banlist and the default one. total bans = 1306 Guess i been lucky (lowish pop servers) or blind :P , only started going through the logs for the last 19 days now....

There is no hidden config file Steps in order 1) File Manager > \cfgdayz\BattlEye\ 2) If u look in there u will have 2 files BEServer.cfg BEServer_active_????.cfg 3) Delete the BEServer_active_????.cfg this is your old config that is still active. Now restart the server & u are good... Optional Steps (extra security incase scripters try to upload your file to find out rcon password) 1) File Manager > \cfgdayz\BattlEye\ 2) This time delete the BEServer.cfg if it is there.

  12. timezone.bat Thats just a batch file to run the program tzutil nothing more, no magic envolved.. tzutil /s "Atlantic Standard Time" http://support.micro....com/kb/2556308 If multiplay server is running just dayz servers on the machine, its an easy solution. Just run the .bat file before starting the server. But if they are running different game servers / apps it might get messy since they will need to change server time back to default after your server is started. Plus the other apps might not like the server time changing on them
  13. Game time is based off server time @ server startup i believe. U could try ask them to look into using utzil to alter the server time whenever u restart dayz server & alter the server time back afterwards. But that might take them some time, assuming the quick server time change doesnt mess up another game server... If thats not possible, i know vilayer servers allow u to alter the server time this way via the web admin panel (nice feature). Also got nice pings for eu aswell

    Server Update Today pushed out by Dayz Dev??

    Have a vilayer server that had such an update today. Waiting on hfb update but i assume its similiar deal... They made it harder for hackers/scripts to read the server.cfg file. Custom player skins was disabled on the server. Updated bans.txt with a couple more entries @ the start of the file, good thing i keep backups of my server bans. And new updated scripts.txt, remoteexec.txt, createvehicle.txt, after which i changed back to the ones @ dayz-community-banlist

    HFB Customers - Regularchecks

    No mention of the sly addition of hosted by hfbservers added to start of server's motd :P But nice news about Regularchecks changes, Also as a small note if any hfb admins havent noticed yet Under cfgdayz\server.cfg -- General Server Settings Timezone field by entering in the correct value your server will be named correctly i.e [Veteran 3DP:0 CH:1][UTC+8] dayzmod.com - FOOO Otherwise atm the default value = UTC and if u havent update u end up with the following [Veteran 3DP:0 CH:1][UTC]dayzmod.com - FOOO (UTC+8) And DayZ Commander reads the server time as UTC & not UTC+8

    New Major BattlEye Anti-Cheat Features

    Basicly from the changes dwarden has been fine tuning scripts.txt to not log as much less spam Plus the new createvehicles.txt & remoteexec kicks for alot of things now and makes life harder for scripter.. Anyway its working as intended atm & u are good

    Cheat Finder (script parser for admins)

    Noticed a ban report based of cheatfinder, so i updated & have afew suggestions.... U really should add back in the line number u find the cheat at, and remove the reports of players GUID's By doing this people are forced to look @ code flagged as cheating to get the GUID and they can double check.... Atm cheatfinder doesnt appear to have any logic to it & is just doing a simple string search... As a result it is flagging people as cheating + since u supply the GUID aswell, some people are banning without double checking. Cheatfinder is flagging people as cheaters if there name contains the matching string i.e Playername = unholy Reported as cheat = un Also 0.1 fadeSound 0; Harmless script code when someone spawns flagged as cheat = un

Right i give up on making a list u got alot of innocent people that lol, U really should remove that first post till u had time to double check it all - <ID> <ID>Removed GUID</ID> <Aliases>Pking</Aliases> <IP>Removed</IP> <Logs>C:\Users\Admin\Downloads\19 - 08 - 12\createvehicle.log</Logs> <cheats>PK</cheats> </ID> He has PK in his name thats why he is flagged as a hacker, U will notice a bunch like that UN, AK, US, UN etc Cheatfinder basicly does a real basic string search & is flagging alot of false reports of cheats i.e reporting the following as a UN cheat because it found "un" 0.1 fadeSound 0; ----------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Also 2 handy links for u should go check out Register @ http://dayz.io/adminZ// new dayz server admin forums. Alot of helpfully admins over there, can ask away if something is a hacking script without the thread getting swamped..   25. U got false positives in there, cheatfinder is a tool u should double check everything before u post GUID's. Making up a list of false ones for u now
