Yep confused here aswell.. Its the problem u are having only with play with six launcher ??? i.e what happens if u try dayz-commander / ingame server browser / join directly via ip address. Helps to narrow down the problem if its a certain 3rd party app or your server... Dont forget to look @ server console logs aswell Also dont forget after a server restart u need someone to join the server, so it loads the mission file & the difficulty settings..... -

Server's battleye filters will now kick players that have a hacked in for 99% of all hacked in weapon/items/ammo etc If u receive a battleye kick for publicvariable script restriction #60+ , u should look up http://code.google.com/r/torndeco-lingor-scripts/source/browse/filters/publicvariableval.txt to see what u are getting kicked for. Sry battleye doesnt allow for better description for kick reason :( Already seening people getting kicked for radios / as50 tws / uzi sd etc... -

No need to add anything in publicvariable.txt, incase anyone else is slighty confused.. I ended up testing it out by kicking & logging for itempainkillers, while the server was empty. Works very nicely, now i just need to whip up a list of hacked in items for lingor and i am all set -
Ping Kicks being Stupid (Battleye as usual)

Did u remove your previous active battleye config file ? For example in your battleye folder do have BEServer_xxxxxxxxxxx.cfg beserver.cfg Edit your BEServer_xxxxxxxx.cfg to reflect your ping settings u want & reboot server. Or remove the BEServer_xxxxxxxx.cfg & reboot server, so battleye uses the beserver.cfg file. Either way afterwards u should remove your beserver.cfg file afterwards to stop script kiddies from downloading the file to get your rcon password -
Offical servers, aren't allowed to have global chat, since u have to edit mission file. Which is against the server hosting rules i believe. If u want global chat try out a private server, most of them have global chat turned on.

@WalkerDown Worse they could u is remove all battleye filters & script away on thier own server... And ban players from their own server... Note this is all on 1 server... If anyone try's to bring banned weapons to my server... my battleye filters will kick them.... i am free to ban them from my server, no proof needed... If i notice people jumping in/out of server & getting fully geared up each time... i am free to ban them from my server, no proof needed.... I had someone join server 6 times & get kicked by battleye for having a cheat engine running. 7th time they turned it off. I banned the player. Techincal i have no proof of hacking, this would be against offical rules to ban such a player, as they did nothing wrong yet. Also i banned a player that jumped onto server got kicked for global ban. The player rejoined in under 30 seconds later, same ip & player name but with a new GUID. The chances of a innocent player changing their cd-key that fast is slim so banned straight away. Also against offical server rules There is something to be said for allowing admins with more control... ------------------ ------------------ As for admins scripting / duping on thier own server. This is still completely possible with an offical hive server... U remove the battleye filters, log into rcon. reload scripts / events. Script away Upload the filters back & reload scripts/events... Someone mentions cheaters, admin just says fucking battleye bypass again. Any dedicated / managed server can have admins faking logs of hacking to ban players / or they can disable battleye filters to script themselves weapons. So basicly the problem of a bad admin, isnt restricted to vilayer or any other private servers -

As usual there are positive & negatives with everything.... With private servers people are paying for a server that isn't tied to dayz server hosting rules & less restrictions i.e server settings / maps / banning players... If u don't like the idea that admins can do whatever they want without any oversight on private server, u got 2 choices really ** Rent your own private server & run it the way u see fit ** Or just stay on offical hive servers, that admins must adhere to offical server hosting rules. Which is exactly what u want... There are admins out there, that are fair & very good and run private servers, because of the extra map choices / bug fixes / freedom it provides them. Its just a matter of finding them Vilayer have no real reason to start policing there public servers (expect in extreme cases), as this would hurt there bottom line. Which would mean higher server costs for admins to offset the extra staff to lookup for unfair bans.... and annoyed admins would end up going away to another competitor. Not to mention the headaches with credit card companys if they revoked someone servers over admin abuse complaints. Atleast if its an offical server they can point @ offical rules regarding hosting the game & say nothing they can do. -

I recommend vilayer, well ahead of the curve atm with there private hives.... If u are worried about server brandings its only 1 euro extra to remove the branding from your server name.

@Vandrel 1) The 771 issues are mainly tickets reporting Hackers i.e admins reporting hackers submit a ticket in issues people appealing bans submit a ticket in issues aswell 2) I am pretty sure the person maintaining the banlist is currently / was @ hosp, so how about give him sometime to recoup... 3) U are free to implentment your own community maintained banlist, if u feel like u can do better. 4) Its up to admins themselves if they want to use the banlists

U are confused i think... It is already part of your scripts.. i assume u are using the files @ http://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/source/browse/#git%2Ffilters It is already kicking the players for trying to user server control panel etc -

Have a look @ your createvehicle.txt file in battleye folder... U will see that alice packs are filtered out from logging i.e !"DZ_ALICE -

@RobCivicCRX Under mods in the acp there is a mod u can install that auto-updates your scripts.txt etc from dayz-community-banlist... Basicly it runs & updates your servers scripts.txt etc at each reboot Personnal i prefer if un-installed / off, as i run run a custom set of scripts for lingor, that i keep updated myself. -

Running a vilayer lingor private server myself atm with the anti-cheat mod turned on. Noticed afew regulars turning up on the logs aswell with 0,0,-17 as co-ords... Atm i am ignoring those entries till i find out why... as for the other entriesi am banning away atm. Just dont forget to look at all the logs first .i.e publicvariable.log remoteexec.log scripts.log etc.... -

And updated the scripts.txt, it shouldnt be logging the lingor animations anymore + the extra stuff from vilayer's anti-cheat. Anyway last bump, gonna see if anyone is interested in this... otherwise i guess i stop making posts :) -

Vilayer has new private servers running off a private hive that u can password protect if u like. U can also switch if u want from a private hive -> public vilayer hive if change your mind down the road. They also has some v.nice features U can turn on/off like auto-updating battleye scripts from dayz-community-banlist New vilayer anti-cheat, if it is based off what i think it is, its a v.nice addition Also there support is the best i seen, and keeps u in the loop aswell... So far i had my server location changed twice & changed from a offical dayz -> private dayz.... never any issues over me beening an awkward customer lol edit: http://www.vilayer.com/ ARMA 2 : DayZ Package! is the one i talking about. also dont forget about the COUPON : 25%offgs If u go with a vilayer private managed server -

And small bump, updated files.... Note if u want to save yourself time, only the scripts.txt & createvehicle.txt are slighty different from the dayz-community-banlist Server currently down, so havent got around to filtering out the rest of the logging from vilayer new anti-cheat... note:- If u are using a vilayer server remember to uninstall the mod for auto-updating battleye scripts. Otherwise they will get overwritten @ next server restart -
