You wake up in a sealed off room, with a chair or something against the door. I like this random wake-up thing better than standing on the beach. More disorienting.

If you'd like to play DayZ without much hassle, You're going to have to spend a bit more cash than that CPU you linked. I would opt for AT LEAST an i5 2500K, even if it means getting a new motherboard.

Flight stick support in standalone

I would be surprised if your flightstick were not usable in Sa. I also started flying with my old Cyborg EVO stick. Much nicer than the keyboard, especially with the yaw control and the free-look on the hat switch allowing you to peek around without affecting your control of the thing. -

Yeah. These are not common household attire in post-soviet states. Maybe old soccer cleats ? I really don't see much point though.

Good question. Many of the screenshots I find on google are incorrect/outdated. I'm assuming you're a hero otherwise you wouldn't need to care. Generally, heroes look civilian-like with ball caps, or with camo outfits on. Bandits might sport one of those hunter caps, level 2s will usually have a face covering of some sort.

Ialso run on an i5 2500K (stock), paired with a used Radeon hd 6850 (paid $70 - also runs stock),4GB Ram. I rarely dip below 40 in cities except on medium setting (not maxed like yours).

I think the stages and humanity system the OP is referring to is for DayZ origins. A dayZ mod. You can get 3 levels (either as hero or as bandit) with each level having a selection of skins. You gain humanity in that mod by killing Zs, healing other players, or killing bandits. You lose it by killing players. In Regular dayZ you have 3 skins only. Hero, bandit or survivor. And you can't gain humanity by killing Zs.

Less storage = more incentive to kee scavenging. Hopefully this will discourage people from building up a loot-cycled armory.

Ya the balance pendulum swings too far in either direction. 1.7.7introduced a lot of new dangers at once. Wild spawns, hit range increases for Zs, Diseases, Cutbacks on Antibiotics, fewer weapons, Z pathfinding, etc, etc,. It ramped the difficulty level up steeply While I love the changes, it seemed to have been a bit too much in one go. A slightly more measured release with 4 or 5 difficulty changes would have been nice. I say keep it at the 1.7.7, increase AB chance, or reduce infection rate and maybe the keeping ability to lose Zs while running through bushes/trees. would have been al the tweaks neccessary to bring the mod back to a comfy playing level. I still commend Razor & team for their work. The difficulty was a good thing. I plan on testing the hotfixed changes later today. -
I like a non-english setting. Love the European architecture, signage, cars, etc. There are plenty of Russian/Chinese and Eastern European weapon choices if that's your hang-up.

Yeah My friend and I run on Radeon HD 6850s as well. We both get excellent frame rate (He's got a weaker CPU than you, and I have an i5 2500K.) I usually get no less than 42 FPS. Might dip below that briefly but 80+ outside of cities. Check to see what's running. Formatting your drive and starting from scratch might be a good idea, -
It's hard to tell the pattern from that pic. It's quite low res. Do you like the colors or the actual pattern. I think it might be a digital pattern but can't tell. Anyway. Not sure we need to get picky about it. The game has some pretty nice camo already.

Questions About DayZ Logo (Font, Background Render, etc)

What's an OT or a Neogaf? Anyhoo, off the top of my head, You could try a Trade Gothic black condensed, or a BC variation on Swiss 721. The font is a very plain helvetica condensed family that's been fairly stylized so you can pretty much use any Black-condensed sans serif. If you can use a vector editor like Adobe Illustrator, you can easily tweak such fonts to match the Logo. What would you like to spell out? -
It's fine. Zombies are just more of a threat now. Let's all agree that in 1.7.6.1, they were mobile scenery. You need to adapt and keep on surviving.

I don't get it. Why should interior zombies be disallowed/rare? It adds that much more of a challenge. Just kill them.

No refuel option in menu after install 1.7.7

Have you tried getting into the car, then getting out again? Sometimes that brings up the refuel menu. At least for me. -
