Clean your laptop fan vents and check the thermal paste on your computer if it's a year or older. Heat tends to create instability and a lot of issues in laptops.

Banned unjustly from Vendetta Gaming Clan server.

Hello, I was just banned (Feb 3, 2013) from the vendetta gaming Clan server. 66.225.195.169:2302 I stole a helicopter from Clan member camp while they were "partying" in ruins in the north. I landed near a truck far away, then took shots at their search helicopters and plane. I instantly received a ban saying "no esps allowed". IThe ban states I was banned for an ESP/spawning things in. I have NEVER cheated. I came across the camp while looking for tents in the north. It was hard to miss. 2 helis and a plane parked beside a ruins atop a mountain, with cars and trucks and a campfire smoke. I realize I pissed off clan members by stealing a chopper but that's no way to treat an honest player. It's part of the game mates. -
You can also back up your mod files and put them back into your Arma2 Operation Arrowhead folder after you reinstall it. This is not neccessary, but will help eliminate the need to download the mods again. You can typically find these folders at: program files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/arma2 operation arrowhead The folders are called @dayzorigins and @dayzoverwatch. Your gear/GUID etc will all stay the same. None of that is stored on your computer.

I've been knocked out/badly hurt/legs broken by a friend running too close to me in 1.7.6 Has this been addressed? It's eversosilly.

I might be off on a tangent here but, Any chance the knockout timers could be severely reduced in game? I never understood why those knockout timers can randomly go from 30 seconds-ish to 10+ minutes. Why not max it out at say, 30 seconds? -
Seems a little high-tech. It's the type of HUD that, in other games, is conveniently explained as a "power suit" with an HUD (Crysis, Halflife, etc...) Your hearing and sight are unnecessary indicators. I don't really think the game needs a HUD. Still, nice work.I applaud your skills!

Wouldn't server restarts wipe out bodies after just a few hours in-game? Or is this idea assuming bodies will remain in place after restarts, or maybe servers won't need frequent restarts?

When rendering atmospheric scenes like that, I often do my own photography, either using a model or myself with a camera on tripod and timer, I often throw in some cheap royalty-free stock photos, and original hand-drawn elements. Once I have the forms and backgrounds and overall lighting set, I do an overpaint to add that illustrated look. This can be photoshop but there are other,better illustration-specific programs you can use. It can be time consuming but the results are often worth it. -

Here's the best solution: Remove the engine block graphic. It's meant to be a general indicator of any given "engine part" needed to fix a car but people are taking it literally (and why not?). Simply change the model and the gear slot item to an assortment of parts (rad hose and clamps, distributor cap, etc). Better yet, replace the engine block with 2 or 3 other smaller items. A battery would be nice. It's the first thing to go on a car that's sitting idle. No one would swap engine blocks in a Z apocalypse.

I enjoy seeing my character. A scruffy, aged man with tactical shades. He draws me into thegame. I'll enjoy it even more with a wider choice of outfits. Third person puts me in contact with my character's presence in the world, his exact disposition in cover. I DISLIKE the fact that I can peer over walls.So I say, tighten, and lower the camera angle. it might help. And, make it so you need to hold a key to be in Third (just like holding shift while driving to boost...awkward and tiring). Just my 2 cents worth. -

Excellent work. Very mad max inspired. Love it. Add a lockable cache to Aftermath and I'm 100% convert from Origins. You don't even need bases. Just a large, metal lockbox, or a small concrete and metal, in-ground cache that can't be run over or grenaded.

There is something sleazy about taking a mod, taking the contributions of so many others, claiming it as your own, then restricting access and placing trademarks and copyright on this derivative mod. Anyhoo. I still enjoy origins for the house building aspect alone. If only another mod would introduce even one single small building or lockable cache that can't be fucked with and run over with a car, I'd be all over it. Hopefully this is coming in Aftermath. Hopefully I'm not false-banned when I log in tonight. -
No more bikes. Segways would be much more common in Chernarus.

I run a much cheaper machine and have never had any fps complaints. I rarely dip below 40 (and often around 80 in the fields) with a radeon HD 6850 plus i5 2500K, 4GB ram, all running stock clock, cheap ass motherboard. Have you tried different servers?
