  1. I'm ok with the color scheme.
  2. the timer itself need to be fixed. Getting knocked down is a too common occurrence,because once you're down,you're dead. The timer is far too long. I think the pain of being gnawed on by Zeds would wake anyone up fast.

  4. Twat admin. There are quite a few bad ones out there. Still, a lot a good ones though. You'll find them on these forums.
  5. You have a point. Logging out can be a chore if I get a phone call or something else comes up (kids) I have to go find a pine tree or run around for a while to try and get a break. IMO the combat timer is a little excessive. 1.7.4.4 was fine. Still, not a major concern though when compared to Zed's walking/hitting through walls and other major issues.

    How about just using Sleep as a log-out technique? If you log out near a tent, or a bed, while in sleep mode, and you wait a certain number of hours before logging in, you get to slowly regenerate health for a little while, or you have slightly improved speed or endurance ro some other minor thing (a tiny bit more stability while aiming?...dunno). I just don't want to wait for my character to sleep as I twiddle my thumb in game, nor can we leave him/her sleeping in the world to be looted/killed or sodomized) while we log out for any length of time.

    What's with all the pony avatars forchrissakes? but anyway, your body needs to disappear when you log. Otherwise it just becomes a target for griefers.

    No worries mates, now you now have a fun reason to play on that server. Roll with the bandit label and embrace it.
  10. why post that Bieber video? Is that some sort of cryptically hilarious response to OP? (Btw I'm not sure about that script restriction. Haven't shot at any vehicles with a big gun since pre-patch)
  11. Yeah. I'd like a "drag" style option, but changed to "grab" so you can grab a player from behind and hold a pistol to their head. This move could also disarm the player, placing their guns on the ground.

    How are things?

    The scripting overall hasn't died down. Find a whitelisted server for sure. I don't play on anything but. You'll still get asshole admins that will ban you for upsetting their clan gameplay but at least the scripters are somewhat deterred.

    new player with a few questions

    1 - drinks can spawn anywhere 2- best bets to find a map are in grocery stores. Or, you can use an online map at dayzdb.com/map 3 - To turn on flashlight, right click it in your inventory, and select "remove from toolbelt". Now it gets put in your secondary weapon (hand gun) slot. Press "L" to activate it. You'll have to right click it again and "add to toolbelt" if you wish to equip a pistol. Sadly you can't use both at the same time...until the inventory system gets the standalone overhaul.
  14. It's the subtle scripts that bug me. ESP/Radar You just never know if the playing field is level. At least with the 12 year olds, you know it's time to log off when a car rolls by billowing a rainbow-colored smoke trail and grenades are raining from the sky. Also, the admin thing is pretty bad. I have had 2 rage-bans (on whitelisted servers) after looting admin shite.
  15. Infected have human organs. They should not be able to "smell" blood from anywhere that a normal human could. And gutting an animal makes no noise. It's one knife, slicing fur and flesh, and sinew. I've done it often in the woods. As for the death shriek from animals...maybe. Never shot a cow but I would bet that they complain about being smacked/shot. Deer have not made much noise for me before.

    Ya I'd almost prefer just a straight running jump. But it does improve the flow of things when you're trying to evade Zs. The stop-scissor-kick vault was irritating

    The thrill of scavenging, not knowing what you'll find, the survival aspects. IHope much more of these elements are added in SA

    No. it's a pain in the ass at the moment. you have to drop your gun to equip the hatchet.

    Planting bombs

    As a survivor, don't think you'd have motivation to create and plant explosives in random houses. A bear trap I could maybe see since it won't destroy your stuff (if you're protecting a stash). Also, Microwaves are unpowered.
  20. Simple. remove mags for revolvers. You just hit "r" to reload it from your loose ammo pouch (or wherever you store your loose bullets). For the average survivor, this would take longer than swapping pre-loaded clips into a semi-auto pistol. That slower reload time is your drawback to using a clip-less gun.

    Problem with .50 calibers

    Ya it should take time to set-up a bipod and aim this oversized rifle. Standing shots should not be allowed while aiming through scope (maybe just hip shots). OR, make it swing wildly if you try to aim while standing.

    All ideas are bad. But thanks. Still pondering that buckshot comment...there already is shotgun pellet ammo in the game. Buckshot fyi is shotgun shells packed with 8+ large pellets.

    Natural disasters and events.

    Dynamic weather patterns with some greater variation would be neat, as would a seasonality to servers (rotate a winter season in one week/month, or one month out of every four)? Tsunamis/Meteor strikes and tornadoes are a little excessive imo. Tides might be ok but is it worth adding this feature? Does it really influence gameplay much? I tend to think no.
