Your computer is fine. CPU is a bit dated but the vid card is nice. Make sure you have no background apps running/downloading, clean and optimize your system. Other than that, all we can do is cross our fingers and hope for a better Standalone. FYI I run on an i5 2500K CPU paired with a radeon HD 6850 (running all stock) and I get smooth gameplay everywhere. Sorry to hear you 're having a shity performance. you're not alone. Very frustrating

Try speed fan to verify temps. I agree that heat will cause stability/performance issues, and this can get worse over time. It might be worth your while to open the case, and clean the fan(s). You could also reapply some good thermal paste to your CPU at the same time. On most comps, this can all be done in 15 minutes. GL

Who here hunts wild turkey? Those sumbitches are notorious for spotting people. That's why many of us wear ghillie-style outfits when hunting them from the ground. I usually also carry a backpack at the same time. A regular camo one blends in surprinsingly well. In game, let's leave the option up to the player. Why not be able to carry a pack over your ghillie. If you stand out, it's your problem. And maybe you can find a camo pack that blends in a bit better with the suit.

How do I join a private hive server? (new to dayz)

Get DayZ Commander http://www.dayzcommander.com/ in the server list, you will see private hives mixed in with regular hive servers. Privates will be marked with an X through a cloud icon. You join them just like you would a regular server. Just click and join. You can filter out server based on other criteria such as 3rd person, time of day, etc. Simple as that. -

This could be a stupid question but are you sure it'snot your monitor going to sleep? I've had this issue where my monitor would not come back It still had power but would go to sleep and not turn back on. I opened it up, and sure enough, a capacitor was done. I resoldered a new one and monitor now wakes up normally. Not sure, but could be worth a look. -
End game will feature crafting a cure for the virus. then we all drop our guns, and the game transitions to The Sims 3. I believe this is confirmed. will link quote soon.

Not sure about poison gas (nerve gas?).Stockpiling or using them was outlawed in RL by the Chemical Weapons convention in the 90s. Can't see the army having them ready to use during a Viral outbreak. Tear gas that affects Zeds is a good idea though.

I can't play on a daytime only server. The night offers a whole new dynamic to the game. I found shortened day/night cycles work well.

Great story. Good for not logging/suiciding. I applaud your grit. I once crawled 13 hours on a broken leg, Never did find a morphine. Just a bullet in the cold wet darkness.

I agree. don't overclock. You'll get marginal performance boost at best. The 7750 is a mid-range card. You should do OK with it. Optimize your computer, disable background resource-sucking apps, but you don't need 80 FPS to enjoy a game. 30-40 is OK in ArmA. GL
