  1. I've never had a problem with "shriek spam". They make more varied sounds compared to the first few weeks, And I find it's a gameplay feature. If it bugs you, there's only one way to make them stop.. ;) They cannot "teleport". Your shit connection to the server, and server desync, will cause zombies to "teleport". Zombies can open doors and walk through them. They also can run through fences, as jumping over low fences would get them stuck on a "Jumpover" command, and would be easy to escape them. Similar to how the docks work for slowing zombies. You can sneak away from zombies. You need to be more careful. Sneak around, don't run around making noise. If you "don't have patience" to run for your life, this isn't the game for you. You say "remove" zombie wallhacks like it's an added feature in the game. If you are crouch-walking, you make very little noise inside a building. If you crouch, you are less likely to be seen. If you move slowly, you are less likely to be seen and heard. Zombies are too easy as it is. I have a feeling this isn't the game for you.

    How it is now is only a test. More will most likely be added, with a better system than a simple "Converting" system. 7rnd 1911 mag -> 6rnd revolver mag doesn't really make sense. But FAL couldn't because 1. It was a new addition and 2. It already had a "Conversion Pair" (M24 -> DMR)

    This sounds like the most feasible idea for jumping from server to server spawning new loot. Not to be confused with a similar term of "AltF4"ing, changing positions, then coming back to kill your attacker.

    Not only has everyone else discussed this, you should talk about it on the PvP discussion thread. Making suggestions about penalizing bandits doesn't really contribute. Once rocket decides, okay, we're going to penalize bandits, then you can discuss different ways of doing that. Until then, inb4 thread dies.

    Welcome to Alpha. All your things are likely to be gone. Do not be attached to your loot. It takes less than a few hours to get any loot in dayz.

  11. Welcome to alpha. If you want a single guy to make YOUR game, Capture him and pay him a $50-$100k salary. Or, you could wait longer than 3 months to say this game is broken beyond repair. You could let rocket expand or otherwise further develop his IDEA of a game, and see where it goes. If not, everyone needs to seriously, seriously stop crying about every new update. It reduces team morale, and puts unnecessary pressure on the development team, and everyone else.

    Lol DayZ Problems But seriously, make sure your card isn't throttling. Make sure your "clocked" Cpu isn't throttling either. Any other games cause these problems? Try medium settings, V-sync enabled, etc. Play around until you get good fps. Doesn't make any sense, but try everything.

    Telepathic groups of survivors

    Makes sense, but lots of time you would need a pristine environment to play in, which many people don't have. For example, the sounds of cars outside, other people in the room, a fan, etc. An excellent idea, however! Perhaps with a TeamSpeak/ACRE Like Radio/directional-speaking plugin, this would work much better, as Teamspeak is much higher quality than ArmA2 VOIP.

    This doesn't solve the problem of people disconnecting to avoid death. However, it does solve, kinda, the problem of people going from one server, getting shot at/killing someone, disconnecting, then rejoining at a better location.

    You cannot turn the night sight on and off. This is not a DayZ bug, this is an arma 2 feature.

    ArmA 2 didn't have a radar like how there is in arrowhead. At least, not that I can remember. Removal of the radar is the most important thing. You can fly around the map, finding all vehicles in a matter of a few minutes this way.

    You can modify vehicles to be able to "load in" other vehicles. Perhaps have the hilux able to carry the RHIB, and the Ural/ V3S able to carry the small boat?

    Instantly read as a cry thread about trying to reduce PvP. This is a terrible idea. Who would want brownie points for not killing people, when you could just kill people and take their loot?

    Scarier Zombies/Other Mods

    Stalker zombie. Limited spawn rate. Similar to the "witch" in Left for Dead 2. Hard to spot when it's "roaming". Once it hears you (perhaps very high "Hearing" distance, but poorer "seeing" distance), it starts sneaking up on you, following you, going slightly faster then you travel, not making any noise. It moves up to you, extremely close, then screams loudly and attacks you. If you see it before it gets close to you, it screams and sprints towards you super fast until you kill it. Needs to be more creepy shit ;)

    Putting a stop to duping

    There are easier ways to fix item duplication. Item duping happens due to an exploit in the lag between client side, server side, and database side. It'll all be fixed soon, don't worry.
