When you kill someone, you turn into a bandit. When you turn into a bandit, all your things disappear, except your pistol/main weapon afaik. Same thing when you turn back into a survivor.

Everyone is going to say "purchase only" or "Play for Free". If you want to make most money: Subscription. If you want to keep everyone happy and have more playerbase, purchase only. If you want to piss people off more, plus make kinda middleground money, play for free + buy retarded shit. -

Rocket chooses which servers are connected to the "master server". Could just be a bunch of chums testing out the mod. Nothing will be saved on the master server, and server's connected. -
1. You find a flat, clear area. Use your scroll-wheel and you'll get an option to put it down. 2. Tents can be looted by other players, but only on the server that you put it down. Your tent stays on the server it's placed in, so keep note of that. However, other players cannot "pick up" your tent. Only you can pick it up, but everyone can access it. 3. Find matches. Again, find a flat, clear space to place it, and scroll wheel. Select "make fireplace", then "light fire" once it's placed. 4. The only vehicles you will find in game, currently, AFAIK, are boats, civilian cars and pickups, light transport trucks (UAZ's, land rovers, etc. No Humvee's AFAIK), and transport helicopters. For land vehicles, 9 times out of 10 they are completely destroyed. They appear to be completely drivable, but without tires. When you jump in, you'll normally find everything to be damaged. For a standard car to function properly, you need engine parts, fuel tank parts, 4 tires (wise to keep one or two for spare, in case you break one), and scrap metal for the body, if it's damaged. You also need Jerry Cans to fill up the car. One jerry can fills about 1/5th of fuel. Pumps at gas stations don't work, but there are large tanks at gas stations that you need to siphon fuel from. Just have an empty jerry can and use your scroll wheel on the large tanks. [EDIT] Ninja'd, fuck :\

Title :) 1. Corner-Eye scanning for players, vehicles, and animals. If you look on the side of your screen when there's a player (Green), vehicle(grey), or animal (grey) just outside of your field of view, there is a green/grey "Dot" about the size of a pinkie finger imprint. This can be used to "scan" for animals, vehicles, and even other players if you look hard enough. 2. Helicopters have a "radar" This radar is used to determine FoF and missile direction in ArmA2 OA. Because there are no AA missiles (right..? D:) in DayZ, and because you could just fly around the map and easily finding all the vehicles, this needs to be removed. Would make vehicle finding simple once you have a helicopter. 3. Super Military Weapons. Things like M249, M240's, M107's etc are pretty ridiculous and is like "easy mode". The rarest weapons should be CCO M4's/Acog M16's. These weapons' ammo is quite rare, yes. But this leads me to another point.. 4. Ammo "regenerates" after re-logging. Fire off all of your ammo in a magazine, except for 1 round. Reload. Do the same for all your magazines. Now rejoin the server. You have all your ammo back. If there is a way to fix this, this will allow people to not have infinite ammo after finding 4-5 mags. 5. Night Vision. I know people will cry about this being removed. Once you have night vision, the game is dramatically changed. You no longer need a flashlight, flares, chemlights, or anything. Anyone without nightvision, is prey to people with night vision at night time. Which, would make sense. However, night vision is fairly OP. It reduces the "fear" of night dramatically. 6. Leaderboards. I just want to say that I'm pro-PvP. I enjoy the tense aspect of PVP. Remove anything that has to do with getting kills. Keep the "Longest Survivors" and other interesting stats. I know a few people who only kill because leaderboard stats. Which doesn't really make any sense. ^^ Discuss!

Swimming in water = sometimes drop your gear. It will all be probably where you got out of the boat. Under water :)

If more zombies spawn, the game will lag, and people will complain. If zombies are more difficult to take down, people will cry (more) about how zombies can hit you once and knock you down and eat you while you are passed out. -

There's a basic "greeting" command you can give in Vanilla ArmA2 when you approach a unit. Perhaps doing this to another player could trigger having their name-tag appear at a certain range, or with a push of a button. -
Change Starter Pistol Back To Revolver

Revolver is one of the best side-arms in the game, sitting just short of the G17 because of it's magazine capacity (17 rounds, can also hold 15 round M9 mags) and the 1911 (Because fucking .45 that's why) Makarov is an excellent starting pistol. It's location-accurate and most plausible for a survivor just starting out. Cowboy 6-Shooter, not so much. -
Makarov is still an excellent pistol. The sights are good, 8 round mag. I hate when people make posts that are so blown up and disproportionate. :\

A simple suggestion ^^ The ability to use simple gestures/hand signals, for at-range communication. When you see someone too far away to speak, it would be nice to get your intentions across as soon as possible, as you are both awkwardly pointing your guns at each other. I'm not suggesting a full range of American Sign Language or TactiCool hand signals, just a simple wave, or something like that :)

If you are careful, you will not be pestered by zombies. If you sneak around, and know the radius's of zombie's hearing and sight, you can go around undetected. The Crossbow is a brilliantly underestimated weapon :) Do not think that if you have less than 12000 health, you are going to die in the next attack. I only start to worry if I'm below 5k, and from there you will start to see blood effects. However, if you run around eating all the food you can find to regen your health, you are doing it wrong. Beans are not designed to cure wounds. If you MUST, you can eat 4-5 steaks and be fine.

The military flashlight is designed to be used in groups where other people have Night Vision. Because NV's are green, it doesn't appear on the spectrum. At least, it's not as annoying when you are in a group. AFAIK there's no way to change color or range of the light, sorry.

I would be fine with being able to pick skins of certain classes. For example, if you are a bandit, you can pick multiple skins, that look "bandit" like. For example, there's a few other german skins that would work well, also there's a few Chedaki rebel skins that are notably bandit-like (There's one with dual ammo belts around his chest, a black cowboy hat, and a hunting jacket.)

Tbh, Persistence should have been the #1 priority before adding in any other things. Once persistence is working 100%, they should add all the neato things. Having a place to put things you found, some kind of "camp", is right up there in getting persistence to 100%. -
