Hey I have played Dayz for e few days now. And it runs smoothly on "high" settings and "low". But just for a few seconds. Then I can get a FPS drop to 0 FPS, or if you would like to call it a freeze. I can play for a little while and it freeze, or it can freeze a few times in 10 sec. Thats random. But one thing is for sure, it freezes when i meed zombies and try to shoot them. I get a little fps drop if I try to zoom on with the mouse to aim. I have read some FPS posts, but I cannot see to find something similar to my problem with the fps drops. Should I use a FPS tool so I can see fps? And in that case, what program? Link to pic with my system. (If the thumb doesnt work http://bildr.no/view/1229955 ) I have tried to run it on low but there is no difference between what i run it with now and what i used to run it on. Hope you have any ideas. It actually looks like I get a fps drop when zombies spawn or i encounter other players. So its kind of a warning :P heahea. but a bit lame -.-

I have tried to use Nvidia Inspector. But I still get the frameloss from 20 - 40 fps down to 0. and the screen freezes.... Any ideas ?

Hello! That was very similar. But my drops can be much harder and longer. My friend have exactly the same computer as me, and runds this smooth. He also aint dropping while his here. If we sit side by side, IRL and standing side by side in game. I would "drop". So I wonder if i Reinstall everything on my laptop. Would it help ?

Hey! I have 8 cores at 2.4 (?!) And i dont know about the GTX 260 vs my card, But as I say. I can run it smoothly but get a FPS drop out of nowhere while I am running in the woods. But when it comes zombies and other players I may have a fps drop. So its kind of hard shooting them :P Well, I play Saints Row: The Third smoothly.And thats a lot more graphics on I think ;-) Well well. I dont know :( I really wanna play this game smoothly :/

Hey! I just have a little idea. I have a dog, that need to get out/- and inside every now and then. When HE decide. For his toiletvisits...... So then I thought: What if you made a button that will make the player take a break for f.eks 3 min. So if you pressed f.ex. "P" your screen would be black with a timer starting to cound down from 03.00. Ingame the player disappears from the game, but would not have any advantages since the screen is black. Its kind of when you have to go the lobby just to be sure your alive when you go to pee. But a feature like this needs to have limitations. So if you have been in a PVP fight the last 5 mins, or attacked by zombies the last 1.5 mins, this wont work. Also, these 3 mins. cannot be aborted so you have to wait for 3 min when you have started the break. This would make the gamers day easier. Pee/snack/dog/phone/etc- breaks :-) What do you think ?

Okay. I just thought about this. And a tip if you dont wanna leave while pissing. Piss in a bottle ;-P
