Standalone Suggestion (maybe even Aplha)

Hi Tonight I come to you with a troubling and annoying problem. For some reason my GPU will choke if I happen to look into a city, but wait that is not all! It does not only do this with DayZ, it does it with, every.game.i.play Looking out into the distance (more than couple hundred meters) of any game, even TF2 chokes my GPU and brings my FPS down to a dismal 19 FPS...the thing is, my specs are pretty decent, so i have no idea what so EVER, why this is happening, if there is ANY fix for this, any fix at all, please please please tell me what it is. These are my specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit AMD FX6100 Six-core Processor 8g RAM Direct X 11 AMD Radeon HD 6900 (OC version) 1.7gig RAM 1920x1080 monitor (60hz 32bit) all Direct X features enabled driver version 8.961.0.0 Any help would be much appreciated! :)

Im not currently able to get into DayZ and test this, but I did test it in normal Arma2 the results were great...sort off, my performance in forests and in towns was massively improved, my distance was great too, but i still have issues with the FPS dropping again when I look into cherno, or any big city, its a somewhat alright 24 FPS, but dropping down from 40 makes it quite annoying, and hard to play.
-
Thanks for the info, Give me a couple of minutes and I will get back to you on results! :)

Drivers are current ones and RAM in game is suggested to stay at default, but yes I have tried all of the ram settings but no success.

Hey, with the current build of DayZ the Debug monitor in the corner only displays the Zombie kills, Bandit kills and Murders (along with blood ect), but with the new addition of the different UI settings, what about more personal stat tracking on a separate UI, such as distance walked in the current life, how many sodas you have drunk, and how much blood you have restored ect. it would be great to be able to see more of what you have done in your current life rather than just kills. Thanks :D

Not sure if serious or trying to mock idea...
-
Exactly, its fun knowing what you have accomplished and having a sense of completion when you reach a goal you have set for yourself, or just a sense of pride knowing that you have eaten 100 cans of beans haha.
-
are you talking about? Because I don't think stat tracking has anything to do with COD lol.
-
Yeah, It would be great if they could show us those stats real-time, I dunno, me and my friends all like the idea as we all survive for weeks at a time, and it wold be cool to see how much we have done over time, whether this is for Alpha or Full release dosent bother me, but if its implemented at any stage would be amazahhhhh :)

DayZ Game (not mod), a way to make playing with friends better.
ImCptCrunch posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
The recent announcement of DayZ full release, means that Rocket will have a much wider variety of options with DayZ, and I feel that one of the options he has, is a way to keep track of friends on servers. Basically my idea is, if you and a friend both find a GPS, or Beacon or some electronic device, and you both agree to sync it with each other, kind of like Blood transfusions now in the mod. That both of you will be able to see each other on the map, this makes it easier to co-ordinate night raids, and even attacks. But, to make it a dangerous thing to use also, if one of the 2 players is killed, the beacon/GPS can be picked up and be used to track down the other player and kill them also. This is just a quick idea I had, but I would love to see this implemented in some way if not exactly like i explained :) Thanks. -
DayZ Game (not mod), a way to make playing with friends better.

This is more to see, i already use Skype with my friends, but its hard to comunicate where to go, if we are more than 100 meters apart, if there was a map, with their location on it, it would make it easier to see where they are facing and what land marks they are near. :) -
Hi there all I have been playing DayZ for about, I would say hmm Maybe 6 weeks. And that entire time, I have experienced poor or less than average FPS but now, I just cant risk dying because of my FPS performance. The story is, I have been alive for more than 4 weeks real time, probably 60+ hours in game as of right now. And I cannot enter any city to look for supplies as I am too scared of being killed because I cant turn around fast enough because of my FPS. Below is my system specs. Windows 7 64bit 8 gigs RAM AMD FX 6100 Six-Core Processor (6 CPU'S 3.3GHz) DX 11 amd rADEON hd 6900 1764 MB memory 1920x1080 monitor all DX11 features Enabled. 120 GIG SSD for OS 1TB WD Green drive for everything else. (including DayZ of course) And with this system, I can play most modern games at high and a nice stead 70 to maybe 80fps lowest i would say is 40 FPS, but with DayZ I get maybe 40FPS.....when I look at the ground...and with all settings on low, Basically my problem is, anytime I look in the distance I would say from 10 meters away to obviously where my draw distance begins, my FPS drops to about 20 or so. the thing is, this happens with a bunch of my games, Dungeon, Defenders, TF2, Stalker, BlackLight ect, but back to DayZ. Even with my Settings very low, i Still get the low FPS issue, Is there anything, such as mods or PC tweaks I can do to fix my DayZ FPS Issue, and even if anyone knows about the Low FPS at Distance Issue, Thanks heaps to anyone who can help me. If you need any other info, please say so. :)

Wait, unless your talking about the codes you put in the shortcut such as -maxVRAM=<> -maxMem=<> then no i haven't done that, if thats what i have to do, do i set it to the max which is 2047 or to the amount I have in the GPU which is 1764?
-
what do you mean launch options? Because I have my memory in the in game video options up to max i believe.
-
Ok Using Arma Launcher, and having my settings high I went into DayZ this time, and the results were not good, here are some screen caps with the FPS. http://imgur.com/a/zkjOl

Jacking up my video memory and some of the settings too, has definitively given me an FPS boost but Is till face a problem with FPS dropping at distance, I will upload some Screen shots in a couple of minutes.
