When I bought the game I decided not to harm anyone. Why so? Because this mod lets me decide how to play it. Pacifism definitely is the wrong way if you want to survive for a long time and keep your gear while trying to socialize strangers. It will get you killed. Even so, I never regretted walking down the path I've chosen for myself. Got killed? Then I simply have to re-gear and continue to help others. Try out this thread and get in touch with people who are friendly to their very core. Or find a group of like-minded people to survive together. It's your choice.

MikaelM reports as ordered. tl;dr sya and his team fixed me up while having an epic gunfight inside a small barn. Five people with shotguns, rifles etc. and a huge pile of bodies before them. True medics. I nearly got myself killed again shortly after our departure and I found another antibiotic. Either the spawn rate has increased or I'm just a lucky bastard when it comes down to this.

That's just not true. You always have the choice how to play this game. So you got tired of trying to befriend people who ended up shooting you - that does not take away your choice to try it again next time. It's this very thought that turned this situation into a vicious circle. You don't care anymore and shoot on sight, killing a friendly who in turn starts to shoot on sight as well. Sure, it sucks to get killed after hours of gearing up but I rather die once more than ruining another's playing experience.

It was really nice to talk to you and fun when the Infected entered the barn. I should've recorded my face when I could not reload my hatchet and had to switch to my gun. Also, thank you, Voltage, for letting me know that there was a third one behind me. That really took me off-guard.

Cheats will be cheats. It is not the players' task to get rid of all those hackers and scripters but the one of the dev team to provide the server admins with tools to counter them. Even if you have good intentions it's not enough to justify your actions. Imagine if everyone would run around with scripts and say that they'd use them in case they find someone suspicious. It just makes you another cheater. A noble one maybe but a cheater nontheless. While the admins are powerless you might be able to pull it off but remember what happened to all the guys in comics or novels who kill to stop people from killing.

Agreed but unless the enemy doesn't have a boat himself or can sniper us from the coast (question to `CaRnAgE..) it would be 'safe'. I still vote for docks or the spot in Cherno, though, because it is much easier for getting supplies etc. I appreciate your review on the flaws of our strategy, so don't hold back. The fort'd be a much safer place with you guarding it than it'd be with me around. `CaRnAgE..: I don't want to get on your bad side then, haha. If you can really do 1500m+ then kudos to you!

One of the guys you killed that night was not only a friendly but also a pacifist who wanted to ask you if you needed anything. You remember the guy with the MP5 near the gates? Not easy to make it hard for you with guys like myself around. ;P Edit: Talking about locations, I'd also vote for the docks. Another, rather extreme location would be Skalisty Island - two or more boats included, lol.

I'm in for it as well although I hope I won't be on overwatch next time. You'd be better off using a scarecrow, haha.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. I started playing just a week ago and ended up in the wilderness for eight days. It was nice to play in a team for a change. And to whoever killed us: Congratulation! But next time, please, try to come through the entrance and fight us on equal footing. All in all, thanks to Steins and Hordeslicer for trying out this little experiment. Will try to join you the next time.

I hope it is save right now. I will come from West and run on the train tracks with a hatchet in hand, so please don't shoot me.
