Poor fresh spawns. Horrible bandit.

Well I spawned at Balota, so I ran straight towards the Airfield, thinking that I will actually get some good loot and what not. I was mistaking, and while sweeping between the barracks, I was being shot at from the mountains. I ran into the green tent there, and all sudden someone was writing to me 'hey'. I started going like "AH SHIT PLEASE DONT KILL ME BRO IM NEW SPAWN PLEASE PLEASE" over the mic and he just wrote 'haha, no worries, i dont kill you'. He suggested me to run to the barracks, at least we might find a gun and then fall back into Balota itself. He counted 3 2 1, started running. I found out I was hit when we arrived according to the 'I am bleeding' text on the left-bottom. I was meanwhile somewhat excited on the overall as it was my first 15 minutes in the game anyway. I tried to close the door of the barracks but got sniped :< . Later on I found many friendlies than bandits, but I still keep encountering people out of my plans unless necessary for me and my clan.

Wwwwhat is up, DayZ Community? I'm a DayZ player since July 2012 basically, and now days sometimes I enter a server (I usually enter Unofficial Hive servers), whenever I'm going on a loot I basically find almost nothing. Lets give you this scene for example: I'm alone on an Unofficial DayZ Server, no custom mods or the other bullcrap that ruins the game and I'm headed into Elektro. I head to the fire stations, church, market, hospital - nothing! Only garbage loot! (Maybe two cans and one can of drink, that's it). Does it have anything to do with the unofficial hive of the server? I mean, this is quite ofter annoying because it happens to me A LOT and I'm getting frustrated looking after loot - realizing there's a 90% chance finding barely any useful loot. Any suggestions / explanation on these situations? What servers should I join that does actually generate loot, or has it changed in some way that I haven't noticed in the change log? I'd love to have some explanation on the loot system in DayZ because I'm just getting frustrated every time I try to play the game. Yelp.

It's alpha, let them work on it. Geez.. -
For the part of seeing where your friend is playing you can simply use DayZCommander. (Click HERE for more information)

Much much appriciated, worked for me!

Great thread, nice nice tips. I will use some, actually. My first mistake was swimming  . I mostly known for 'not letting guard down' tip, takes me two hours to pass through Elektro because of that.

Characters!: Creation & Management of different characters
guyb790 posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Hello everyone! B) I have recently started playing Day Z (actually, it's only my third day over there) and I already thought about an idea for it: If we're creating like, a character everytime we respawn from death (the screen of choosing 'Male' or 'Female') why can't we make it to multiple characters? The point of my idea is actually giving a player the abillity to create a number of characters that he can choose while entering a server. Why should we add this? Well, my personal reason is that when I want to play Day Z, and start a new character to continue exploring some cities and such I cannot do that, because I already have one that, for example, now at the north side with supplies and everything similliar to that. Or, lets say you're playing with group of people / clan or what so ever, and you all disconnect together in one area at some point so later on you can procceed. All the suddenn you have the 'need' to play Day Z, but you don't want to continue alone because most of the chances you'll find yourself dead or have something wrong going on, or gain advantage, or just non joyfull gameplay experience of playing alone. So instead, you can switch/create another character to continue playing maybe with another friend of yours without disturbing the latest activity with your group, and you can play all day untill your group comes online and you can continue. It happend to me once, really, didn't ended well. So what will it be all about? [~] The system will able to create different characters that, obviously, each one can be choosed before entering in-game inside a server. [~] All of these characters will consume and register under the person's CD-KEY, like it goes now (if I'm not wrong..) [~] You will have a limit of 3~5 characters that you can create. [~] You will be able to manage (simply create, delete and such) your characters simply with user-friendly system on log-in, or anything else that won't need a kick of handout and taking time to understand or either use it. I don't think this idea has been got up to the air yet (expect some character lock to servers once, I really don't know what it is but I'm not sure if it's related to my idea.) and I would like to see the community giving feedback on it. What do you think? -
After five days of playing this, I have determined that DayZ is a marathon simulator.

I don't think alpha is an excuse anymore, buhaha. But, meh. If anyone has any idea how to improve this (except from a gun that will cause serious deathmatch and no-challange in-game) feel free to post it over Suggestions forum. -
It is an interesting idea, really. I actually agree with this suggestion and I think it should be added. But, I hope it won't effect massively the running abillity, so you will still be able to run from those infected humans.

Lol, heh, thanks. We're playing mostly together, and recording alot. So we might be able to give more funny / weird moments. Today we have raided a house with someone inside in Elektro. Miki and I went to the second floor, charged left and right ordinary, and he said "Shit! He's here!". I looked and they simply stared at each other for 10 seconds, when the 'Friendly' that Miki said still hangs on the screen. Miki didn't think twice since the guy had springfield and shitload of ammo and haven't responded over the chat. B-A-N-G. (The dude rage quitted afterwards)

Haha, man I laughed there so much xD

Great thread, really lol'd at alot of pictures here.

Yeah, I had to face the things in the hard way. It lowers your confidant though, because you have nothing to protect yourself while attempting to look for weapons, stuff and this kind of things. Atleast an axe on the start, or something like it that it'll be easy to find, really. But, you know, real life I don't think you'll come across a coast finding yourself with a full armory of 10 shotguns, 5 automatic rifles and 2 snipers.
-
Yes, defenetly. And with notification that you'll lose your stuff. Really, I didn't knew it'll happen..
-
Sounds like a cool idea. I don't think it'll hurt anyone, really. More transportation instead of walking 50 minutes from point to point.
-
Defenetly NO. Everyone shud be equal by their advantages already of knowledge upon each other. If you know about the game better, you survive. If you're going with friends, you survive. It will ruin the game if there would be some classes that fits to each kind of task/section/way of behaviour with some weird advantages.
