    Finally a reason for humanity

    Set up random situations where every once in a while you walk into a town and there will be more zombies than usual but there will be a couple of AI survivors fighting them off...if you have a lot of humanity and eventually kill the zeds the AI survivors will thank you (if there still alive) and will give you food ammo etc. basically the same amount of stuff you would have had the option to snag if u spent all your time scouring the town for goodies They will say they have enough supplies for themselves and will leave and disappear from the game world...If you kill them your penalized the same as if you kill a player survivor (they won't be armed with anything special) If your a bandit on the other hand it will just be straight up chaos....zombies will attack you and the AI survivors will shoot you on sig as well...you get no bonus either... I think that might be like 1 reason to even have humanity...and it keeps the game dynamic....as long as its rare enough to be occurring like 1/7 times you move into a fresh city

    Daytime servers are always overloaded.

    It's not the day/nights that sucks its the fact that the servers are always jam packed where ever its not dark...and right now there is nothing we can do about it :/ but add more servers in more time zones to alleviate the problem

    It's a military sim.............bro you don't need an rpg like menu system and inventory when your playing arma2....if your worried about that then of course Arma isn't your cup of tea

    ^ It would be the server doing that stuff so it would be kinda hard right now....keeping live track of dozens of people would not be possible right now.l..didnt really think of that lol

    How about a diary or some log item....you can view it after you die....Better yet leave that diary on the person when they die so other people can see when they loot! Well if they chose to have a diary

    ^ man I'm slow on the news! In that case that would be a logical way to take it...make it a way for a bandit to redeem himself as well a little bit if he decides to help or something

    Soooo bad deeds shouldn't be punished? How does that make sense...buy not checking the bad your actually giving them the advantage....they kill they loot....humane players don't so they can't reap those benefits y shouldn't they reap benefits in a humane way like this....the way it is now....there is no reprocusions for ones actions if he decides to be negative therefore there is no incentive to remain positive....so why even have humanity if there isn't a dynamic to explore the ramifications of the choices the player makes? Aside from turning into a bandit....which itself isn't even a big deal cause you get shot at by survivors just as much

    Post/read notes

    Basically self explanatory....could possibly bring an intriguing new dynamic in the game....let's say people can only have 2 notes you can have in the game world at any moment which will essentially be a trigger when you decide to post a note that will contain a message (duh) that you want to type....somebody that passes into the range of that note have the option of reading it if they want or just going about there business and not caring....or destroy it so nobody else can read it after they have You can leave notes by dead bodies....helicopter crash sites....anywhere but you only get 2...and you put it somewhere where you know people are going to walk by and have a chance to read it....imagine all the fun/twisted ways to connect with people or mindfuck with them (forewarn people by leaving notes by your murder victims) establishing a raj devious with potential people in secretive locations not knowing who is going to show up etc

    Safe Zone (No shooting/No Zombies)

    That sucks cause it would just make 50% of the game worlds players be in that vicinity....and the other 50% camped right out side just waiting for noobs to skip out with their goodies....I like the way it is now with players coming in contact pretty rarely

    Player Placeable Camp Structures

    What would you need to make more of the complicated structures? Blueprints? Then wood? That would be cooler cause I don't think people should just know how to make a watch tower....and it forces you to find these blueprints and explore before you hunker down and make a fort
  11. I've seen zombies claw me face in and I'm okay? I've seen another post about turning the player into a zombie.....I don't like that idea but what about you getting the zed virus and having to find a cure.....or having to find antibodies for the virus before you go into a town so your not screwed when they scratch/punch you If you do manage to get infected i dont think there should be any warning that your infected....you shouldnt know (will be awesome cause some people wont know there zed positive in your party and will just randomly flip out go zombie and infect everyone) If you die (within a set amount of time if you dont cure yourself) you are dead but the ai will take over your body as a zombie in a matter or 15 or so seconds....it would be kinda funny for a bandit to kill you not knowing your zed positive and run up and trying to loot your body only to get his brains eaten by your zombified corpse half way in the cookie jar lol or even worse survive an assault and be infected himself And it would be a pretty cool organic way of zombies respawning unexpectedly

    I don't know the feasibility of this with the engine though....it might look super glitchy for a guy to die and a zombie to pop up....and hopefully the zombie will still have the players inventory so you can still loot for a little while at least and that they can find a way to balance it so people just don't get infecteded too easily but enough so you know it's a major threat

    I like random events just not the ones you mentioned...it should be zombie themed....like migrating hordes traveling along roads to other cities once in a while and what not

    Umm pretty much self explanatory...if your buddy accidentally shoots you in the head cause you just walk into his firing lane he should eat a murder...you can forgive him and it won't count....aaanndd.....I think there should be way to give a guy some of your humanity if he helps you out with the ability to withdraw it within a set time frame if he backs stabs you (prevents bandits from robbing you for humanity lol as funny as that sounds). The fact you can withdraw it also limits people from abusing it as well u cant just spam a channel and say "gIME RidE to blah blah I got humanity" because people are greedy....they will withdraw the humanity after they get a ride and the person that gave him a ride will br screwed...so people will be wary of that stuff.....so humanity will be given organically when people are really grateful....The way the game is structured it has no way of knowing that a guy who stops in the middle of the road to pick you up is a big deal sometimes...reward him in a player controlled way...of course we would probably need a limit to the amount of times you can give humanity in a set amount of time (humanity spamming and abuse) and the amount you can give per life-saving-moment but it would promote a level of compassion this game lacks....right now it's not even realistic there is 0 compassion lol....there should be around 25% if u ask me...it's still supposed to be dangerous but right now it's just a post apocalyptic deathmatch lol Bandits of course have no humanity so they can't give none.....which is how it's supposed to be.....your not really supposed to help bandits unless u expect nothing in return....,but it will help bandits more to get in the good graces a lot easier imo Bandits of course have no humanity so they can't give none.....which is how it's supposed to be.....your not really supposed to help bandits unless u expect nothing in return....,but it will help bandits more to get in the good graces a lot easier imo

    Objectives (Radio?)

    I'd expand on this idea by suggesting that There be broadcast towers that can be player controlled were players can have options for diffrent short range broadcasts like "beware bandits occupy blah blah" or "area clear" or "looking for friendlys" or more creative stuff that I can't think off right now which can alert incoming players who are tuned in looking for clues of what might be going on....and as soon as a player leaves the broadcast tower for a certain time it reverts back to radio silence

    i figured out a way....in real life we can tell each other apart. We need to be able to label our party sometimes just to keep track of who's who....well one abuse I can think of off the top of my head in just allowing us to mark people for future reference in a cheap way would be like if some guy robs you point blank you mark him and happen to run into him later and kill him with out putting no effort into doing detective work....now in real life that would be the equivalent of being robbed by a masked gunman sprinkling holy water knowing who he now is no matter where he goes seeing him one day and killing him....how do you know it was him if he wears a mask? So that won't work and will be abused....BUT if you allow some one to label you and give them the name then things get interesting....let's say team leader wants to label your party so he pulls up a menu and picks label you....he will know its you because a square will be on you and a square will be on him from your perspective you can accept or decline to be labeled and if you do accept pick a name for yourself to be called. NOW your name will show up whenever your in HIS field of vision....you will still maintain your anonymity with everyone whom u chose not to be labeled by.....is this something that can be done?

    Chainsaws and trees?!

    Chainsaws would be awesome! great for melee (would be a zombie/bandit/ overall come find me beacon with the roar tho :-/) would need gas to operate and would overall be pretty cool if you ask me.....maybe use it to cut trees down to stockpile wood to build forts somewhere down the development line of this mod?

    Crossbow too ineffectual

    I think the crossbow is clever as is.....its an aquired taste....I dont think it should sta ck at all...if you think about it most people that walked around with bows back in the day didnt have a ton of arrows....and they took a lot more space than a box of shells or an AK clip so it makes sense...if people could walk around with a ton of arrows and the crossbow made more accurate it would turn into a crossbow hunting fest in towns were people would just line up and clean towns before the zombies even knew what hit em...granted they should be a little more effective from close range but still I like it the way it is o yea the losing your bolt to a torso shot is lame though

    I think the lack of materials and cars is actually a good thing...nobody would be tracking through forests or following train tracks and actually doing any real scouting if cars were easy to keep and make
