I used to at dayz on a crappy computer and loved it. Amazing game really. Although I only got about 5-10 fps which is really unplayable I continued on. I am now looking to build a PC that will actually get me decent framerates (20-30) and I have a budget of $500. If you so kindly could tell me, how much do you think this build would get on all low settings in dayz? Ok, I'm a man. Well I'm 16 so you can decide for yourself. I have played DayZ for about a year now. I don't cry, like at all, ever. Never ever ever. But I gott say this situation I am gonna tell you about made me tear up a little at the time. But this game, back during the days before the COD kiddies, people actually helped each other. Now I am not saying that everything was peachy, its a zombie apocalypse and there was still bandits who shot on sight. I just mean the dayz where it was actually a option to hide behind a tree with your gun and try to talk, trade and maybe team up with the guy or girl. And then it happened. (Note that up to this point I was a fairly new player and was friendly to almost everyone except if shot at) I needed a gun and fast. There was a lot of dead bodies with REALLY good loot east of Elektro and I needed a gun to clear out the zombies and protect from any other players. Now I know what you are thinking, why didn't he just YOLO it run it, try to grab the stuff and if he dies then he didn't lose anything. Well at least back then I tried to play as if it was really me in the game and my safety was a priority. I went down to the firestation and found a makarov, great. Now I could prozor sniper the guys from 1000 meters away. Hopefully to find a better gun I headed up the stairs and caught sight of someone legs, I called out friendly and the guy talked back and we quickly started a conversation while guarding the doors to the firehouse. I didn't tell him of the loot because of greed and acted like I was A-OK with the gear I currently had. I looked over one more time and noticed, this guy was geared. He has a DMR, camo clothing on and he pulled out rangefinders to look up on sniper hill through the window to check for bandits. I had to have the stuff. I put down a can of bake beans he asked if I had and while he was looting I aimed the makarov at his head and pulled the trigger. Nothing really happened at first while I looted expect me being happy that I got all this loot. Then it hit me, this guy worked for his gear, trusted me, and I took away who knows how long of looting, hours maybe. And I took it all within a couple of seconds. I took off, headed north and felt terrible about the incident and still remember it to this day. I am now a horrible bandit who kills on sight, but that is only because everyone else does, I try to be friendly when possible :) What was your most emotional moment is DayZ?

One time, I made friends with Fred. Fred and I had the best times, running through forests, fighting off the bandits, and just surviving together and enjoying each other. But then one day after running constantly for a couple hours, I decided to stop for the first time to make a campfire for the first time to sit down with Fred and talk about our lives. I started the animation to make the campfire and then Fred started to hit me, he glitched into a tree, growled and then ran through me and started to beat me. I don't know why and I shot him in his leg and he didn't die. He hit me until I died and then I respawn on the coast. Admins please ban Fred.

Is the standalone going to be easier on the PC? And by that I mean, is it going to cost a $1000 PC to get decent framerate?

Ok! So I managed to scrape by with a 500 dollar computer, not built for DayZ... I managed to kill people in elektro with 5 FPS xD But I want to upgrade and by budget is around $700. I don't know if that is enough but I hope it is.. Could you post the specs for a computer to run Dayz and other games at a good framerate at that price?

What framerate will that run in elektro?

Well I played on a server in which the AS50's where banned and that to buy a coyote or gun was ridicously high. Around 30-40 dollars for a regular gun and around 50-60 for a high powered one. And that is for one gun with a backpack or something. They held competitions like helicopter backflip contest! So in moderation, it can be a fun and good thing to promote PVP on a PVP server.

All low, tweaking them does nothing. I stay at a steady 10 FPS whether it be on Very High or Lowest

I have been running DayZ fine but recently it has been unplayable at 8-10 FPS in big cities where I hang. Are these good enough Specs to run DayZ at a decent framerate? 20-30 FPS on Lowest settings. If this are specs that should be able to run the game at a decent framerate. Could y'all suggest any tips to increase framerate? I have messed around with .cfg files. Should I just delete the entire game off my computer and just start fresh?

Ok guys. I need y'alls help. I'm pretty sure my graphics card is bottlenecking my DayZ game. I'm pretty sure my CPU is decent and my RAM and memory is good but I'm pretty sure my graphics card is complete crap. I have around 100 bucks to spend so whatever is making my DayZ suck camel cock please suggest a part in that price range if you feel like being a freaking awesome person.

Me and my buddy were walking around just scouting around our camp up north when all the sudden BAM! He get banned for no reason. Now I know for a fact he hasn't hacked or done anything wrong. Any ideas on how to get him unbanned besides the appeal forums where he will just get swallowed up by a billion other appeals and how and why he got banned?

Global ban, I know how untrustful I seem. But seriously we monitor everyones play and he is a good guy who plays legit....

I exploit the glitches. I dupe my weapons, eat 1 piece of meat a billion times to regain blood. Why? Because it's in the game. Everyone looks down on dupers or something. They think they are not skilled enough to do it legit. Well I say we are smarter than you because we actually use what is in the game. If the moderator team (which is a very awesome and dedicated group of people) decide not to take it out. Have you ever thought there was a reason? Oh. I almost forgot. Most of us dupers dupe to protect against hacking. I dupe tents full of rare weapons I find. Why? Because in the past 3 weeks I haven't died legitly once. But I've had around 40 deaths. I'm not saying its a daily thing. And the mods are doing a great job of banning the hackers but it's just a pain knowing that however hard you try, you will never ever survive and thrive. Now I have never hacked nor will I ever. I would never cheat the game like that. But next time you are with your group of friends and you find a tent with 10 AS50's and other tents excatly like that scattered around, don't laugh and run them all over and feel like you bested a cheater. Just take what you need and think, "Man, this guy is smart." Please no flaming or trolling. (But I know y'all will anyways (: ) P.S.
