The people who complain about no updates are so narrow minded. They aggrevate me so much. It's like, the standalone is gunna be 100 time better and have way less bugs, yet you're complaining about. Seriously, get some common sense. -

Although I don't agree with people complaining about how slow or buggy the updates are, I agree with the communication aspect. I don't have a twitter, reddit or anything, only facebook, so it would be nice if he just said we're really busy sorry guys, or at least stfu you whiney little bastards lol. -

Your not doing it right! He was talking about the multiplayer and mission editing. Everyone knows arma 2 has the shittiest voice acting and story ever. That's not the point of the game. It's about the awesome fun you can have in multiplayer, and how you can create anything in the mission editor. -

Think of it this way. DayZ isn't a RV mod, its an arma 2 mod. Just like garrysmod is a hl2 mod, not a source mod. Now garrysmod isn't as buggy, the main two reasons are that hl2 modding isn't as difficult and it's been out a long time. But look at that new zombie mod. I can't remember what it was called, but it gained some popularity. It wasn't a hl2 mod, it was a source engine mod, which means it was based of the ENGINE, not hl2. And besides, this is free, if he does this in the standalone, feel free to complain, but he is letting people play his free mod. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression rocket was contracted for arma III when dayz was released, and with how popular DayZ was and with how it boosted sales, they hired him.I'm making this assumption of a post rocket made somewhere about not being a bohemia employee. -
YES. Sarcasm detected lol. I agree the zombies are a mess right now. Imo they hit too hard, and the run just fine, they just need to be in larger groups and have a more dynamic ai.

No, it's still arma. Its not a different game. It's basically a different mission, with a bunch of custom scripts and models and animations etc. You don't seem to understand how arma works. It's different from a source engine mod. With source, you have a lot of freedom with the core engine. With arma, you have freedom with scripts and content, but as far as how the core engine behaves, you have no control, making it hard to fix problems. The DayZ GAME however will be a lot less buggy, be updated more frequently, and generally be smoother because rocket is editing the CORE ENGINE(getting rid of features that aren't needed, and reworking features to fix bugs), not overlaying scripts that adding some mechanics/putting in models. -

You either have really bad luck, or keep going on high pop, high traffic servers like an idiot. I still haven't been killed by a hacker. Hacked weapons, yes, but not one tele/god mode hacker has killed me. -

You represent a large population of dayz players... You don't seem to understand it's a mod, not a game, ie bugs are REALLY HARD TO FIX. Much harder than if you have access to the core engine, what dayz game will be. -

I think, in the standalone version, that in cities there should be big hordes, and depending on the size of the city, the bigger the horde. I personally think zombies are easy as hell 70% of time, only time they are annoying is when the respawn or a mob is chasing you through a field. Adding hordes, more like left 4 dead hordes would be better. Imagine being in city, shooting and all the zombies slowly walk towards you. Then when the get close enough, they run at you aggroed. -

Personally, I would rather see rocket ditch the mod so we get a way more stable alpha on RV4, but people think they paid for the mod and will whine, so I guess it's not possible. I have fun playing arma II without dayz, making missions and such. -

Just to put this out there....you really shouldn't ban people for duping. Why? My clan put six tents down, and they had tons of random stuff in them. 2 fals, a 50, a svd, and some regular common weapons and medical supplies. Our camp was found, so we decided to move it. When the server restarted, we found that the tents at our old camp reappeared!! We didn't even attempt to dupe, it just happened. Another time we just would take stuff out of tents, and on a server restart, it would be refilled again. It's a fine line between duping and tents glitching. I just wanted to put my two cents in. -

Just saying, a lot of high end gear is duped. I even know people that dupe. I think duping makes the game boring, but people who don't understand this game is about surviving and not shooting noobs in elektro do it anyways. Fyi, most people(at least from experience and talking around) wouldn't even go near cherno/elektro with good weapons like as50s and m107s, because they are so rare. People sniping noobs with a dmr or cz, realistic, probably not a duper. But most AMRs without duping stay the hell away from the coast. Chances are if they are using a .50 on the coast, they have 5 more at camp....not saying all are like that. Some people just find a .50 and do it for the love of trolololing, or being an ass, but most will likely be dupers. Just my opinion. -

With recent betas, I get 60-70 fps in wilderness, but when I go to larger cities I get 15 fps. Wtf....ffs this game is retarded lol. Intel core 2 duo @ 2.8 ghz Zotac nvidia geforce 550 ti 6 gbs of ddr2 at 800 mhz Foxconn oem inspiron 530 motherboard 550? Watt power supply(can't remember if it's exactly that) Windows vista 64 bit -

My point is that they don't need to fix it, they can just remove it all together.Removing it won't make it hard to fix, they could easily have some condition that allows zombie corpses and barb wire to exist in their development version but not in the release. "a step back in development" is subjective. It would improve the experience tremendously at almost no cost to the games features (in fact I would say gain as wire fence sucks). Things have been removed before, was that a "step back in development"? Because the dev team doesn't want it removed. And if your refering to things like helicopters, they weren't removed, just disabled. They can't really disable the bodies, and as far as I know, barbwire is fixed. Me and my friends haven't seen it.
