Incase you're wondering, Yes! i've looked around the forums, been all over the internet, followed all kinds of tutorials, but I cant seem to find anything that will help me on this specific topic. I bought arma 2 a while ago on steam, and when day z came out, i ordered the operation arrowhead disk from online. It arrived, i installed everything as close to the tutorials as i could. Updated everything, got the beta, got the right files, put them in the right spot.. but I couldnt follow them very well though because there isnt a specific guide for installing dayz for the the arma 2 steam and OA disk. Yes, In the installation guide on the forum, there IS a guide that tells you how to install it for steam/retail, but it just tells you to follow the steam/retail guide.... Isnt that what i was doing? Does it mean steam AND retail? Well, I did just about everything i could. I downloaded the DayZ updater and tried launching it through there. I tried launching dayZ and playing online. I got the usual "Missing Textures" message, which I ignored. When I tried joining a server, I either failed to connect, got kicked right away, got the "You cant edit this mission blah blah" error, or it said i was missing key files. Guh. Ive updated battle eye anti cheat or whatever manually through their website. I dont know what else to try! Thanks!
