Guys. Let's get back on topic To answer your question OP, my answer is: Servers act diffrently from time to time. And if you see you are spawned way off the map, then you might just relog onto another server. It happens sometimes, just change server and you might get back, it isn't a permanent.

The only thing that keeps me away from DayZ is that it is in Alpha.

This isn't a horror game. It's a zombie game with a shit engine :D The only thing that might be creepy in this game, is the ingame music if you turn it up.

There is a bugged/glitched spawn place in the "shed/garage/outhouse" on the side of the military building. Go in there and *Shift* crouch around the wall, looking down and then just hit scroll a few times, then you will see that there is actualy loot down undet the earth/ground around there. It maybe be some shitty loot, it may also contain a GPS.. who knows. The thing is, not many now that spawn due to it's hidden.

Maybe it's because you don't watch enough streams or DayZ videos from Youtube my good sir. I've seen things with my own eyes, and heard a lot of rumors about it on the forums aswell. And i really trust in what i've seen and heard, because it's some strange things going on with battleye and all the false alarms. Even tho the hacker is JUST around the corner, it desides to ban the wrong player, due to some unkown alert battleye triggers. I don't know if it's items that gets teleported into your arms with the help of a hacker, or all the non-legit vehiclespawns around that you touch, or the fucking around with GUIDs. But one thing is forsure, they just catch too many of the good guys. :(

Have in mind, that as said before, the server itself also affects your actualy FPS on that server. Though what i have experienced, the amout of bad FPS servers is very low now days, compared to how awefull the FPS were on servers several patches ago (months have past). Try another server.

The only chance is a complete reinstall with Six Launcher. Steam/Steamapps/common/Arma 2 OA/(search for the "beta"-folder) and then delete it. Then run Six Launcher and update.

It's actualy not 100% correct. I think the amount of false Global Bans (alteast from yesterday) have increased dramaticly. People that aren't hacking getting global banned from right to left these days. And it's a shame. :(
