Was on the Cherno clock tower, shot a man roughly 400-500 meters away in that concrete building. Missed my first two, third one got him while he was climbing a ladder down to escape.

With WarZ coming out, as F2p after one time cost. I don't think you'll be able to make it a p2p without destroying yourself. You ca do micro transactions, Skins, gun recolors, small ingame bonuses like spawning with a map for "X" number of spawns or other toolbelt items. Like Starting with an Axe for "10" spawns at the cost of like $10 or something. Choosing ones spawn point for "X" number of spawns. Nothing that will break the game by giving people strong weapons. World of Tanks requires people to pay to make a party. It is annoying but at the same time understandable because the game is f2p. Lets say in the stand alone if we paid say $15, we'd get one month of party privileges. Don't make it like a MMO system, don't put their name plates on my screen or anything like that. The only thing we get out of it is say, seeing our "party" on the map and their names in blue instead of green when we aim at them. Combine this with the ability to spawn with a map, people WILL buy this to ensure they can meet up easily. To ensure they actually make it there, they'll buy the axe spawn so they can defend themselves at the start. I really don't think p2p is the way to go and I know I'll personally jump ship if it happened. I don't play any p2p games, but gladly play games with micro transactions that I can pay for what I want, when I want. If you really focus on skins for characters, I think you can make a huge killing there. I know your resentment towards the idea of things like "Buying hats" but people love it in general. I think of League of legends that sells skins for roughly $10 a pop, or even $20/25 for the really popular ones. I have personally bought over 60 different champions and most of my champions have at least one skin. If you could also have it so players could import our own picture and have it graphed to our ingame character. Then people could run around looking like themselves, or anyone they felt like paying to look like.

Must of been fun, I was in Cherno a week ago and found someone elses bus. Drove it into the side of a building and it exploded on me :( Totally felt like a dick, stealing someones ride and then driving around town recklessly lol. Ahh well :P

I disagree, I'm sure if I looked into it. I could make it look like McDonalds was behind the shooting. With any vague evidence I find, which might not even be evidence, I can paint what ever picture I choose. This is how Yellow media works. It is about bending the truth to look the way you want it to. Families usually have family ties, this means that the father working for DoD will have been able to get this son hired in most cases. So it makes sense if not perfect sense that both family members worked for the DoD. I'm an Ex-Soldier, during my time I meet Dozens upon dozens of soldiers who had family currently working for or in the armed services. Or that at one point in time served also. If one of them went loco and started shooting people. Some one, some where, would point out that more than one family member was working for the DoD. I've also heard terrible stories of soldiers losing their minds, one really gruesome one where a soldier took his infant baby, grabbed its feet and slammed its head into the walls of his basement. He said he was using the child as a paintbrush. PTSD is caused by very tramatic events, that even civilians can get. Not defending the sick SOB who shot those people in Aurora, but we have no idea what his life has been like or what hes done prior to this. So to assume its a government conspiracy is in itself down right low. Do you know how many people use their cell phones in the movie theater? Go to the movies and stand in the back, Tell me you don't see at least 30 cell phone lights on during the previews. I know I use my phone. That is why movies always have the "Please silence or turn off your cell phones". I too thought it weird that the exit door wasn't locked or shut from the inside, but I've been in many different theaters and I've seen people go out them and come back in them. It is highly possible he let himself out, got his equipment and came right back in. The tighter the laws get, the more some people feel the need to break them. Isn't there a saying about that? Tight hands and rebellion. "The more you tighten your grip, the more people will slip through your fingers" Something like that. So a town with already strict laws will make more people interested in breaking them, or buying guns. Just to feel that slight victory over the law. $20,000 in military gear? He had 4 weapons, some CS gas and a gas mask from what I'm reading. CS gas is cheap, we're talking $20-50 a can for smaller ones. He had an AR-15, you can get those under $1000, a Remington 870, you can go to walmart and probably get one for $400, and two glocks are under $400 each, the gask mask for a cheap one is like $50-100. So he could of easily spent only $2200 or so for the lot. Hmmm, $20,000 or $2,200. You can buy all of those as a normal civilian right now. You'll probably have to be put on a waiting list to check your background, but hell you can buy them all. So don't lie about the cost man, yellow media is disgusting. With a government job he probably made around $2500-3000 a month, if he lived in a cheap apartment and didn't spend a lot, he could live off of $1000 a month and bank the other $1000-2000. Which, in the two months time he took to buy and get all those items. Was more than enough time to get the money to do it.

Long as they don't tack on a $50 cost. I would be willing, I enjoy the game and my $30 I paid for Arma went to Arma. I want this game to succeed so I am ok with my money going to Dayz.

Yeah, I expect once the game goes standalone and starts generating money for itself. It can afford more devs to start fixing and creating more locations we can search inside. Not sure how much money this mod is currently getting, if any, from Arma. I would assume they'd be willing to help Rocket with it seeing as it has sold nearly 750k units just because of this mod. Though I can only assume.

No, from my understanding you can play with Arma II: Free version, and then just buy Arma II Operation arrowhead. For like $15. So if you don't want to spend like $23 or so for the full package, then yes you don't need both. But you do have to install at least the free version.

Good, if you had nothing. That means you lost nothing. A few days ago i was in elektro and all i had was an axe. I ran around screaming WORT WORT WORT. A few people tried shooting at me so I ran into a building and found a 9mm. I ran back into the school house and shot both of them. All while Screaming Wort Wort Wort over direct chat. Some times having nothing leads to the best of luls.

Was playing, a guy named "tim" landed a helicopter ontop of the building I was in. I jacked it, heard some people say they're hacked in. others say players can repair them... How do I know it is or isn't hacked? I don't want to get accidentally banned for someone else hacking.

That is a lie, if they used an injection tool it can be viewed in the logs.

Deserves a ban, cheating is cheating. Used a bug to kill those guys, or he would of lost that fight and that other team would of gotten away. His direct cheating gave him a huge advantage and he does deserve a punishment.

Then stated he wouldn't die, so stop shooting. He wanted my last friend to "follow him", kept saying "this way" and "follow me".

Well, server crashed. I logged in on the floor and the helicopter is gone. So.. meh.

Yeah, 5mins would give you the enough time to complete leave a city. If you stay and they come back, then you have 5mins to re position yourselves and win the fight.

My entire tent was wiped, all the gear I had collected was gone. I had just stored all my stuff inside because I was bleeding out and didn't feel like wasting a bandage. Logged out after killing myself and the next day everything was just gone. Now, I didn't have the greatest loot. Although, if it happens to me I am sure it will happen to others and those mass storage of good will simply vanish. (My tent was put up after 1.7.2 update)
