Was in a firefight and died yesterday. Full toolbelt, minus nvg and gps and range finder. I died, my friend killed them. Spawned in Solnichny. Ran to berezino. picked up my stuff and server restarted. Logged back in and it was all gone and our truck was randomly moved. its depressing, but hell. still had fun.

I like. Though, I'm far to lazy to contribute!

I like it. Pistols will now be primarily for zombies. I didn't like that certain pistols could wreck a player or that they did near as much or more damage than some primary. Lets face it, we all want some level of realism but this is a video game. Call it my personal opinion but if I took the time to go to higher drop areas and found something nice. Then got shot by some guy who found 1 of 10 makarovs in a town, and died to said player. He just got a free gun for what? Because he spawned in elektro and pressed two buttons to get it and shoot me? When it comes to balance in mind I like it. People with pistols can still defend themselves if they're good enough to get headshots and players running around Lee enfields won't be one shotting people. I think this patch will force a more skillful game play because players can't go diving into a building with a pistol and expect a kill. If they want it, they'll have to earn it. Should add a note that says "Zombie health" and "player health". So it puts damage into perspective

Got one shot by a supermarket door. Respawned and the first building I ran into had a coyote backpack, meet my friend at bolata and found a MP5SD. If I hadn't died, I would of still been in cherno with a makarov and an alice pack.

Logged in for 20mins or so. My buddy and I drove our truck to Berenzino looking for another vehicle at the military tents. I ran over a dead body and my tire broke >_>! I repaired it but my truck still wouldn't move, apparently my front tire was bad but wasn't "broken" and I couldn't move my truck. We came under fire and I couldn't drive off. I got out and got hit, broken bone/shock 1k blood left. Started bandaging myself and got hit again by someone else, My buddy also got out and killed one of the guys, then killed the 2nd guy who shot me. The 3rd guy who attacked us, could of easily hide and probalby picked my friend off (Who was now using the truck for cover and trying to find the 3rd guy) but instead the guy ran out into the opening and my buddy shot him. I respawned and was in Solinichny or w/e, and ran north. By the time I got back I looted my body and was about to run north to where my friend was hiding with the truck and he had roughly 2k blood left. Server restarted and it rolled back, I logged back in and had nothing, truck was randomly moved and my friend and I had to find it. Luckily we had weapons in the truck so I got one out but lost my full toolkit + alice pack. He did loot a coyote backpack off of someone and he still had it. So overall, I lost an empty Alice pack and a Lee enfield, but I think the coyote paid for that cost and the rollback that happened put the truck back before it broke the tires. I'd say it was overall not a very productive night, but a small gain was achieved :D

Talked to the AIM clan, they said he was also effected and that Rammfisch was in TS with them. So I could very well be wrong on who it was, but from my point of view it was very odd that the person who didn't die to DMR shots also didn't die to the mass goat genocide.

Yeah just caught one about 20 mins ago on 828. Its sad really, turned us all into goats and then killed us. If you hack, you can get the best items. So there isn't a reason to kill players for items. So why play this game at all? If you want to kill someone, go play Bf3 or cod. At least you get something out of it, but here. You get everything from hacking so how can you possibly enjoy the game?

Doing it right now, can't connect after steam updated. Really annoyed that steams default option is that >_>

Had the same issue, steam just updated my arma II and now I can't connect. I don't use steam to update but I opened it and it auto did it. I assume this is why, check your steam downloads and see if it was done.

Exactly, I've mentioned before that giving one to ones self would be doable. As an Ex-soldier I've been trained to give myself IVs. It would be perfectly believable that anyone who survived a zombie apocalypse this long would learn to give themselves some basic medical treatment

I was in Elektro's firehouse today. Ran down the stairs and a guy shot at me and missed. I shot back and knocked him out, over direct chat I said "That is what you get for shooting first". Then killed him. Not 10mins later I saw the same guy on the beach running towards elektro. He asked if I was friendly and I said I wasn't going to shoot him. Hopefully I taught that little fella a lesson.

Well if you didn't get a murder. I'm going to say its a very clever zombie disguising himself as a soldier to trap unsuspecting survivors. Luckily for you, you were not fooled!

I think Xsplit has an option to "record stream" and have it stored on your personal harddrive. Likewise, if you register an account with twitch.tv and set up a broadcast. Your stream is recorded and saved on your channel, then just use a downloader that lets you download w/e video you're currently watching. and Eureka! Probably took me less than an hour to set up my broadcast settings. Ofcourse, this is the legal way to avoid paying for a screen capture software. You can ofcourse find a cracked version and use that Or just pay the $20 for fraps.

I'll do it for bugged zombies. I was in a house earlier and died. I had roughly 1.5k blood left after a firefight and was looking for matches to make a fire. A zombie walked through the wall and made me bleed out. Just straight through the damn wall, I had killed 3 with an axe near the door and had heard him, but was waiting for him to walk through when BAM! got hit from behind and it resulted in my death. So screw trying to play fair with zombies, they don't fight fair. So either will I. However, I don't mind dying to players. I don't carry things I don't mind losing into pvp. So its ok.

I don't think the train should be fixable, but always at full. This would stop the griefers who would only destroy it. Even if it was empty, they'd blow it up. So make it indestructible. If someone leaves it sitting somewhere for lets say, an hour without touching it. Then it will automatically drive to the nearest train station and wait. This would stop the yahoo's who would intentionally park it at the end of the track just to be dicks.

Except, those posts about bugs and such are complaints and whinning. They're not "Hey found this bug, I was doing this at this location and it happened, just letting the staff know". Instead we get "OMG THIS GAME SUCKS, FUCK THIS GAME! /cry /cry /bitch FIX IT NOW OR I QUIT!"

Play on servers with name plates. Then report that person to that servers admin. Hopefully they'll get a server ban for death dodging.

What he is proposing will fix the problem with Alt+F4, but it might punish everyone who isn't doing it as well. I don't want to be banned because I server hoped to find one stable for myself and my friends, or banned because I logged into a server with a hacker blowing up a city and then log out and get flagged because I just switched to that server from another server. Please do not implement this. Go with my other idea. Create a tool that has the following in a report. Players would have to log into that so they couldn't go and report the same player 500 times anonymously. 1 report per incident. . Name it like "DayZ APB". Who you're reporting: "PLayer X" What server: "This would be a drop down box with a filter option to look up our current server" Time: 11am pst Create an ingame message like "Player X has force quit". That way people could get his name to use in the report tool. Then, players could report the dcers without it punishing all the others players through false positives.

That seems like a terrible fix for it. If you could make it so players who alt+F4 left an ingame message. Like "Player X has force quit" or something like that. Then, if you could make a site/tool that players can then enter that players name and it will check to see if they do it constantly. It would allow you to punish those that alt/f4 while not punishing those that simply log. I play with a group of people, some servers work for me but not for others and vice versa. We constantly have to hop servers to find one we can all play on, one that doesn't desync constantly for us and has decent loading itmes. Will this system you're currently planning effect us? How can it differentiate between aborting and alt+f4ing. How can it differentiate between players who log out to take a bathroom break, or go to the kitchen/take care of personal business and then log back in.
