Found one a few days ago, sniper got me at NWAF though.

Though this is probably over stated... Game is in alpha. There is so much for this team to do that you can't expect them to drop the entire game development + their personal lives to fight hackers. That is what Battle eye is for, if you have an issue with the hack detection system. Take it up with Battle eye. Not the developers.

Logged on, got shot 10 secs later. Respawned on the beach. Kicked by battleeye (not responding). Rejoined same server, character got put unconscious for 5mins.... I understand its designed to put people unconcious if they server hop, but if I get kicked by battle eye. I shouldn't be forced into this :(

As I posted on another thread. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/48141-people-using-tree-grass-exploit/page__st__20#entry481304 This does a check for those files so players can't join if they don't have the Plants/buildings files.

I think they should be, it directly supports cowards imo. Snipers already sit on hills 600+ meters away during the day, this just gives them a reason to do it a night. I was in NWAF two days ago on a server with 5 people, two of them being friends in skype + me. I start getting shot at by some guy with nvgs (no nameplate server) and run into the hangar to get away. I sat in there with my gun at the entrance laying in the corner waiting for him to come in for I don't know how long, I finally figured hes gone (10+mins) and step out, get shot but don't die and roll my broken legged self back inside. My friend sneaks up to the ATC after arriving and kills him, he literally sat there for 10mins starring at the entrance waiting for me to come out. So he could kill me and take my makarov and lee enfield. Server hoping nvg sniper camping NWAF at night.... Sad.

Can't say how many times I've died, a lot is about as close as i can get to an estimate. Died twice to doors, once from walking off a roof, 5-6 times from zeds. The other umpteen times? Players. Players. Players. Snipers sitting above cherno/elektro who kill you but never go get your stuff. They simply kill you to kill you. I don't mind pvp at all, but if you're not going to take my stuff, then don't shoot me >_>

Its because a lot of servers are pitch black. I mean PITCH, you can't even see your hand. With a moonlight above you your character should slowly adjust to night and be able to make out what is around you. However, this game doesn't do that. It does try to simulate the darkness but for anyone who has spent a lot of times in the middle of the woods without a light, you know you do adjust over time and see shapes/people immediately near you.

Exactly, servers need a "killed by" option or at least "Killed by" in the logs. Servers that don't run name plates are prime targets for hackers, they can port everyone around and kill them and no one will know who it is because there are no name plates and nothing in the log!

No, after allowing far to many people the sight of my backside. I have been shot by people calling themselves "Friendlies". If they're friendly and coming near me armed to the teeth. They get shot. If they're armed to the teeth and running away from me, I have no reason to shoot them. But will if I think they're trying to flank my position or go after a friend. I spend my time up north, I'm not a coast junkie who can run back to his body in 5mins. Travel times for me are upward of 20mins+ on some occasions and I'm not going to spend 20+mins getting back. I'll let someone else do the walking.

Server admins can add this. If you make something to difficult, a lot of people won't bother with it and it will push a lot of would be buyers or active players away. having to find parts + keep it fueled + find the actual vehicle is enough as it is currently is to allow players to strive for it, and once finding it. Gain from it, if you made it harder the people would probably just start blowing up vehicles they didn't have the manuals for. To ensure someone else couldn't use the vehicle against them.

Do you not understand simple logic? They shut down their server for a short duration to make sure the update worked on their linux (an unsupported OS) ran server. Upon testing it worked, so they opened it up. They explained this to you, other people who play on their server came here and mentioned that to you. Yet you obviously lack the ability to shove your pride and accept that they are actually doing their players a favor by testing updates on a linux OS rather than just updating and possibly screwing everyone over. How happy would you have been if you logged onto their server and all your gear was gone? Simply because of the bugs an unsupported OS server can have. You would of been extremely angry. They tested to make sure that wouldn't happen I'm sure. Yet here you are, screaming ban hammer and trying to fit them in with "hackers and cheaters".

You're acting like a 15 year old high school girlfriend. Stop trying to look far into something that isn't there. No, hoarders don't effect you. Because you dont' have to play on their servers. If you do, you knowingly joined and that is on you. If someone who didn't know, joined their server. They can simply avoid them, they don't have to fight every person they see. If they do, they can kill them. If they die, then oh well this is Dayz. If you're effected by their actions, it is because you willing put yourself in a situation where you will be effected. Cheaters/hackers would be the only thing that effects you. Since I wasn't refering to them, you are once again looking to far into something. Locking a server for an hour doesn't make someone a hacker/cheater. The most they could "hoard" would be vehicles. You have the ability to go look for them. Go onto any Dayz server that has been around longer than a week and you'll see how hard it is to find a vehicle. The only way you'll get one is by hijacking it from someone else. So by them hoarding vehicles, nothing changes.

Every time he opens his bag, he has 5 charges. Yet he keep staking 2 out at a time, I assume hes using a hack that always keep "X" amount of items in his bag. I've heard of hacks that do things like that, a guy killed a hacker and when he looted his bag it was a coyote backpack but after a few minutes it turned into a normal coyote patrol pack and everything in it vanished. As of this update, it can be tracked via the hive and people who do it are helping Rocket create a method of tracking and punishing players who do this.

I don't see an issue here Roboserg. Even if they are farming gear during locked updates. It doesn't effect you at all, you shouldn't care. You gain nothing from harassing them. If you don't like their server, go play on one of the other 2000+ servers available. They're paying out of pocket for a server to let you play for free on, and to repay them. You call them cheaters and want them all banned and their server blacklisted? Judging by the looks of it, they were locked for just that short duration and the rest of the time they've been up and running and there have been no issues. My own personal opinion on this: Grow the hell up, and go somewhere else.

Don't put map markers on the map. They're server wide, so if you are marking your maps to remember their location. You're alerting everyone of its location. Your best bet is to use one of the many interactive maps that allow logins. Then post notes on it and send a link to friends of that map. To ensure you don't get constantly raided. Also, as was previously mentioned. Make sure you change your names and try to avoid putting clan [HI] tags before your names. To ensure they don't just search via clan tag.

You can unbind that I think, switch it to a harder to hit key. It is the key used to switch between thrown and your current weapon. Such as grenades, flares, chem lights.

Stop looking for people to blame, this is a video game and people of all ages love to PVP. This is a game designed with the need to kill others. If I need something, and can't find it. Chances are someone else has it and I can take it, if i'm willing to try. Currently speaking, I have 380+ zombie kills and 0 murders on this play through. However, that doesn't mean I'm for or against pvp. If someone crosses my path and they even so much as has a pistol or enters a building where I've seen one. I will shoot on sight. If they're unarmed and running away from me, I'll let them go. I have no reason to kill friendlies as long as they're unarmed and not in my general vicinity. Yes, I would call myself a friendly.

They have a lot of DLC, as well as the 880,000 you mentioned was only what was sold for Dayz. According to Marek Spanel, a member of BI, sales have gone up 500% because of Dayz. That is still over 175k sales pre-dayz. Though which distribution system they used will determine how much they made from it. Also, video games usually don't pay their employees 40k a year, I think a closer estimate of around $25-30k would be more accurate for most of the employees. Obviously higher ups would make more, but the mass would make less than $40k. We must remember there are customer service employees and non game developer employees that would make up most of their work force.

I set my 3d to the same resolution as my monitor (1920x1080) and put my game to fullscreen 1920x1080. That fixed it for me. I still get it in some places, but the flushing fixes those areas when it happens.

They should. Without the ability to customize our characters to distinguish ourselves to our friends. Name plates allow those of us who don't just open fire at anything that moves, to tell who each other are. Also, considering this world does have hackers/cheaters and mass combat dcing. Being able to tell who is doing what and being able to report them is very important.

Publishers really screw the pooch here. They take some times like 75% of the profits. I know EA does, they're disgusting. From what I remember they took close to like 90% of the profits for Kingdom of Amular and the creators of KoA ended up having to file for bankruptcy.
