Well I care, but unfortunately the way hacks work and the way scripts are designed into Arma II. Nothing can really be done without proof for each incident. If he hacks, well Battle eye will eventually patch up and if he does it he'll get caught and banned... Eventually. Take comfort in knowing you lost the battle, but won the war. His obvious use of hacks helps create the very tool that will get him banned. If hes scripting, well... Battle eye can possibly catch illegal scripts, but unlikely. Just know that this is in alpha and in the log run when the game is actually released he'll be crap at it. To used to hacking/scripting that won't work on the standalone. -

Play on low pop servers, stop trying to join the 40+ servers that hackers all target.

Yeah, it sucks. Had my share of deaths :( Best bet is to avoid the 20+ servers, they don't seem to focus on low pop servers. -

I'm afraid not, your best bet is to contact a server admin who has that map tool that shows player locations for their previous session. Explain to them your situation with the hacker and see if they'll show you where you're at. I unfortunately don't know of a server admin that personally has this, but there is a tool that is used. Try posting in the server section, asking for this specifically. -
Ah ok, I read the title and was like "Wow, talk about messed up zombie spawns o.o". Still pretty intense though, had a huge group of about 70 in Mogilevka a few days back.

I disagree, when used with a stronger gun. yes it is a bit "Op". However, when used by itself... It is a loud and low hiting weapon. Its only real use is indeed its nvg/thermal sights.

Duping: 3/4 of High Level Gear is Duplicated

My buddy unintentionally found a way to dupe yesterday. I won't go into details for obvious reasons but lets say, every 20 secs he has the ability to duplicate 1 item on one character. He now has 2, which he can now turn into 4, 20 secs later. Which can then be turned into 8.... Es bad. -

You fail to understand hacking

Battle eye doesn't and does suck at the same time. They can't exactly make a hack detection update for a hack that hasn't been made yet. That would require them as a company to go through and start making hacks themselves, and then patching the game so someone else can't use that same memory hole.. ect. They have to wait till its out, then patch it+ ban offenders. Yes this sucks, and they should be visiting every hack/cheat site they can find on the web and getting their hack tools so they can patch the game as quickly as possible. However, every time the game devs release new code/update the game. It creates opportunities for hacks/exploits to come into existance. So battle eye is fighting an enemy that has the upper hand when it comes to a mod/game that is currently in ALPHA. Because the game is in alpha new content will be updated constantly, which means there are going to be holes that can be exploited. And will be. Just have to remember its in Alpha, play on Low pop servers and wait for standalone game to come out. -

Was in the firehouse, going down the tower stairs. I get to the bottom and someone unloads at me, he had clear vision/shooting path. No idea how he possibly missed, perhaps he was as startled as I was and just fired without aiming. However, I simply turned and hit in square in the chest with my lee enfield, he passed out. I said over coms, good going slick perhaps you shouldn't shoot first, then put him down. Considering I was friendly, I wouldn't have shoot him. -

Peetgamer, Rocket can't go into detail about what he plans to do about them. If he did, they could adjust their ways to keep doing it, or avoid ban waves. He already stated this, search tool my friend. As was stated, Arma II was designed as a trusted client. People can run scripts to make fantastic realistic scenarios for an almost infinite variety of game types. This was the point of the game. DayZ, was able to use this to make its idea viable, but unfortunately some low lifes feel the need to ruin the games experience for others. -

Considering a large scale of players already bought the game, or had their parents buy it. If this came into effect, Arma II would get a very large amount of angry phone calls. As has been said, this ofcourse will never happen so there is no need for a discussion. Your statistics are made up, and no one here can judge impact of doing this without proper statistics on age groups. -

There is always flushing. Hit Shift+-- (minus key on numberpad twice) then type flush. Not in chat, just (press)[shift]--flush Doesn't really clear it up, but if you do it a few times it cycles and you can get it to some times clear up enough that you can see. I've gotten quite a few of them to just turn into odd objects that just sit there but dont' spread across my screen. Probably not as effective as restarting or changing graphic settings, but its good for on the fly. -

What kind of logic is that? If a hacker teleports everyone and is going to kill you. Why the hell would you stay? So the hacker can get his enjoyment out of watching you die? Screw that, rob him of his fun and log out. Don't play his game, play yours. $10 says you run scripts, and hate when people log out when you try to cheat your way to victory. -
Then I wasn't referring to you, I was referring to the mentioned snipers. Don't inject opposite scenarios into mine, that takes what I said out of context and derails everything for everyone :| That is your lack of imagination. There are threads about people who play as medics, threads about people counter sniping. Threads about people solely looking for hacked/duped camped sites and wiping them out. You can have a lot of fun in the game without purposely killing undergeared/ non threats. Saying you killed someone because they were a potential threat is "Cowardly behavior". You and I know that if you weren't camping on that hillside just to kill people, they wouldn't be a threat. Go fight other bandits in high loot yield locations, like NWAF. Go break the servers records for most zombie kills. You're choosing to be a dick by sitting there killing undergeared players for the kill count, it would be fine if it was for loot, but despite any excuses you try to come up with. We know it wasn't.

Report the server, you did nothing wrong by the looks of it. You didn't save your last round in the mag to combat log for ammo. So everything was legit. -
Don't make excuses for cowardly behavior. The sniper will have food and water on him, he won't need to kill someone to stop them from looting it. Because it will respawn in like 10mins anyways if they do take it. The players gearing up is the reason the sniper is sitting there anyways, to kill them. Not to loot them, he has better gear. He is just doing it to be a dick. "I don't want to lose the loot I just collected to some guys who were just late to the show.".... Right, because as a toptier geared sniper, you need that l33t makarov or that amazing firehouse loot spawn.

Why punish bandits? Because sitting in a bush 1000m away and sniping with an as50, should not be what the game is about. True bandits, sure they shouldn't be punished, but the ones who kill you strictly for the kill count, should be. If you kill me and loot me, good. You did it to further your survival. If you kill me and don't loot me, you're a turd and should be flushed.
