I think Dayz Commander is a great tool - but having said that I have noticed recently that it doesn't show quite a few servers that I play on regulary, sometimes I can still find it in the 'recent' tab, but even while filtering for the server name it doesn't show in the main browser. These servers show up fine in the Arma2 browser, and if I use Play WithSix, but not Dayz Commander :(

The problem with that is I have other gameservers running on that box using the other IP's :/

I'm having the same problem, I can see from netstat that my server is trying to communicate with the hive through the primary IP of my server (not the IP my gameserver is running). I submitted a ticket yesterday to get my whitelisted IP changed, no reply yet - is Support about at the weekends?

Hi I am in the process of installing/configuring a new server, I have a colo dedi server with a GSP which use TCAdmin. I have the server up and running but the beta version is out of date - does anybody know where I can download the 96061/96063 beta in ZIP format? I have tried the .exe to update but it can't find my install, I have googled this and tried the regedit but it does not work. I just want to update the files by extracting them from a ZIP file. TIA

Where is the best place to look for ghillie suits? I understand they are found at heli crash sites, and have seen online maps showing possible locations for these, but I am yet to find one :( Someone was telling me there is a 'triangle' of the map he searches where it's more likely they will be, buit for the life of me I can't remember where he said!! :(

First time I got killed by a player was by somebody hacking, me and my friends had got some good gear and stumbled across a tent in a forest, we heard shots and one of my friends went down. We saw the guy in a ghillie suit and opened fire on him, between us we must have hit him 20-30 times but saw no blood or anything. He then killed us all (6 of us including the first guy he killed). :( The worst time was when I was on my own, new spawn, no gear. Went to the supermarket in Cherno, heard gunshots and another player came running in. He saw me at the back but didn't shoot immediately, I told him I was friendly and had no gear - he then walked up to me, looked me up and down and then shot me point blank in the head............ :(

Ah, thanks, I thought they were only at helicopter crash sites - I will check the apartments and resturants as well, and the tents, I found lot's of tents while going through the forests further north. Not found much in them so far though, apart from a FN FAL - which had no ammunition unfortunately.

I played last night, logged out for a bit and when I came back to play I spawned from new again :(

Awesome, seems like you guys are far and few between, the only help I have ever had from other players are from ones I knew anyway. It must be a great experience to bump into friendly and helpful players instead of the ones that just shoot on sight..........

If you have been using sixlauncher you should move to Play withSIX, basically the same thing but with sixlauncher and sixupdater combined (and much better). It will allow you to update to 1.7.2.5 http://play.withsix.com/

Hi guys I've actually had Arma 2 since it was released but never really played it much - DayZ has got me interested enough to get the mod though! :) How can I change my ingame nickname though? I fired up Arma 2 and can edit my profile but can't change my name. I can create another profile but every time Iaunch DayZ it uses my original name? And another thing if you would all be so good - there are a LOT of keys to bind, which ones are really important to DayZ? Thanks all! :)

The simple fact is most people will kill on sight because they expect the other player to do the same - 'shoot first, ask questions later' There should be more incentive to team up, and more consequences to killing other players (I don't have an answer on how to implement that, I'm sure the devs and other players have some ideas though!). There wouldn't be much point to this game if player killing wasn't allowed, or was somehow disabled - this is just the nature of the game and adds to the excitement of it, but I do understand why people complain about being killed when they have no loot................
