No, I have updated my client with DayZ Commander and patched the server using @Server-1.7.4.4-Full When I join it says 'you are running 1.7.4.4 and the server is running 1.7.3'

I have installed @Server-1.7.4.4-Full from the link provided in the email (have even reinstalled it from a link given in this thread) http://cdn.dayz.nu/latest/testing/1.7.4/%40Server-1.7.4.4-Full.rar

I had an email for the 1.7.4 update, downloaded from the link and patched my server. When I join it says it's an incorrect version - 'you are running 1.7.4.4 and the server is 1.7.3' Any ideas? I generated a new mission file too

Yes, you need a unique instance ID for each server.

You can run several servers on the same IP with different ports but they must have their own unique ID's

I don't know exactly how, but as nobody else has answered I'll at least point you in the right direction :) You can offset the time in HiveExt.ini, I'm sure there are ways to set the moon cycle as well, but not sure if that applies to just private servers. I have no idea what you mean about picking a server from gamespy................ I just pick a server from DayZ Commander and join it..........?

You will need to choose a server to join in DayZ Commander, when you find a few you like you can add them to favourites. Choose the option to hide different versions of the mod and game so it narrows down the list of servers for you - are you looking for a public server or just want to find a private one to play on? Also what region are you looking to join (US, Europe etc)?

It may be a setting on the private hive server you are on, I run a public and a private and I'm pretty sure one of the options in the private one is to reset humanity at login. Hero skin works fine on my public, I haven't earned it on my private one so can't say if it works there or not.

The updated hive file worked for me, I did have to restart the server a few times before it connected to the hive though

The chopper has now spawned, not sure where, but it has been seen flying about - it is now also in the RPT file. 2 months on 1.7.2.6 with no chopper, a few days on 1.7.3 and it's all good :)

Had a hacker on and it looks like he has spawned what has been described as giant boxes of sand around the NWAF - I haven't seen it myself but have been told. Try a reinstall in DayZ Commander. I upgraded to 1.7.3 from there and it's been fine
