This has been confusing me for awhile now..
jdblair5 replied to MarkTheBandit's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I know right, lame aint it. http://www.zdaygame.com/index.php -
Not sure man. Most of that stuff you mentioned I have only obtain via a tent discovery or killing another player. I personally have yet to find a 50 Cal or NVG at a loot spawn.
-
It's your dime, but I hardly think that is an accurate portrayal of every house in America, let alone Europe. On a side note, what the fuck could you possibly need all those guns for? In Florida of all places.
-
I think they need to work in some mechanic so the guns degrade thus rendering them useless at some point if. I don't think it has to be too technical, maybe something like fallout, but the way it is now guns, high powered ones at that, are way to abundant. I mean we can all put together scenarios as to how and why guns should be present, IE the guys saying "I got 3 guns in my room now", thats great, but those 3 guns wont magically re-appear when your house is raided, or when you leave your property. Having those 3 guns on the onset isn't the issue, having them re-appear is. I am not saying don't spawn weapons, but there needs to be some worth and value in the weapons. They need to do something that takes guns out of the cycle.

Awww... Keep it up bucko, maybe one your name will be in teal.

Pressing the "-" key on the Num pad

whenever i hit any of the buttons on my number pad vehicles and weapons spawn.... weird. -
Will you sell me some of that shit your smoking?
-
Couple months eh?
-
Not to sound like an ass, but that isn't gonna do shit. Your month is paid, only person it hurts is you and your friends. Again if possible, start a private server. If more people start doing that, things may change.

On paper that may seem like a reasonable idea but it is not at all realistic, tickets would pile up and overwhelm Rocket and company. Server admins need total control, period. And if players for whatever reason don't like how said server is run, then they should find a new server. That's how its been forever with damn near every game. The reason this becomes unique is because the hive and the fact the game is perpetual, people freak out ( understandably ) when a clan server is locked and there is activity going on. The only reason this becomes an issue is because of the hive, those players can loot and farm their closed server and jump to another one. Most of the bullshit rules that cripple server admins are in place for hive integrity. So I say get rid of the hive. Or make it an option, if a server wants to be part of the main collective then it needs to follow the rules (whatever they may be) of the hive. If they don't want to be a part of the main hive let them run their server how they see fit. Ban whomever whenever, lock it if they want, kick who they want when they want etc etc etc. They need to allow the community to grow and develop, not stifle it.
-
start a private server if you can Spoon. Only real way to have control. Much like Osirich, I have had servers before on other games, and I would never personally pay for a DayZ server, the rules, while somewhat understandable considering the hive element, are utter bullshit. I know, kind of a contradiction. I have said it before and I will say it again, Rocket and whom ever should support a set amount of servers connected to the main hive and let other players have their own servers. Private servers seem to be the way to go as of late, for me at least. Either way, thank you for trying, and I personally appreciate you having a server for the time you did.

The Future Of DayZ (Discussion) [Warning: Long Post]
jdblair5 replied to Trajado's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Drop the -a- and see how that looks. -
I am numb to hacking and I troll post? LOL, please. Play on your server? The one you said was being over taken by hackers and you stated.... well here: Sounds safe to me, I'll add it to my favorites. Just because you can't pick up on my condescending tone to the OP don't call me a troll. So sick of overused and misused internet cliche lingo. And OP, for every person that says its just a case of "bad luck" there will be 5 people saying that is a day in DayZ, its up to you to decide which is valid. Hacking is an issue, has been for sometime, and will continue to be.

We setup our own private server and have been having a blast...
jdblair5 replied to mbcb's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I enjoy private servers. I haven't set one up myself, but I play on a couple more often then normal servers now. Mainly because I don't have to worry about being ghosted or engagement disconnects. The servers are usually full or close to it so in my experience its hardly a " run around and collect shit" thing. -
Am I the only one who"gets" DayZ and is happy with what it is?
jdblair5 replied to sealteamaus's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
That's funny cause whenever someone makes a post about how they don't like the game the thread turns into 12 pages of kicking the OP's head in. Seems to me there are plenty of people that appreciate the game, and plenty more itching for rockets cock to tickle their tonsils. -
Underground Bases? Opens a whole new World of possibilities...
jdblair5 replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I hope this doesn't happen. I like the idea, don't get me wrong on that. But all you need to do is watch 2 minutes of the above video and you can see the issue's that will plague this whole addition. This game, or engine rather, is absolute shit for walking inside of things, up and down stairs and ladders, etc etc. I don't know, just don't see it happening. Maybe its just me, maybe I have fallen through the deck of an aircraft carrier to many times, or clipped thru a wall. -
All hackers. Battle Eye is a well oiled machine. No false positives, nothing gets past it. It is the alpha and omega of cheat prevention.

You have to sodomize the animal first now, tenderizes the meat. Its a new feature in the last patch to add more realism. Go towards the back side of the animal and use your mouse wheel for the Sodomy option. Then you can get meat.
-
The game certainly has issues and its flaws, like every game. The core game Arma II is pretty solid, give it a shot, you might like it. If not, there are other mods out there that you may like.
-
What about hiring merc NPC's to guard places?
-
its a cool idea but from what i recall on OFP ( the last time I attempted scripting) you had to script them in, unless everyone had their own custom skin. Things might have changed, but cool idea anyway.

What the hell cock ass... love it.

Turn off dropping items while swimming :/
jdblair5 replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
but a back pack doesn't. I haven't ventured into the deep in a while but last time I did my entire back pack disappeared. I can see some items, bandages, matches, but not your entire inventory.
