I don't think the rounds are interchangeable in real life. The caliber is the same size but the actual casing size is different. The revolver uses .45 long colt ammunition. Dizzymagoo

I think it only needs minor tweaking. When I go into a small town like Pusta and happen to piss a zombie off I can run into the woods and execute him without pissing off the rest of the horde. But as soon as I start to run away from a single zed in cherno. I piss off every single one. I like the new number of zombies because it really brings me to the edge of my chair inside of big cities and really bring patience to me. I can no longer run around in small towns. No. That is simply it. Don't mean to be rude, but its a terrible idea. I should just go play L4D. The fact that zeds and all AI controlled is what makes this. 50 people in a server is few enough. I could days without seeing someone. Then stack on there that half the people are damn zombies. I would stop playing because I already own so many games similar to that. Dizzymagoo

I think a rain catcher would be cool. You can set them up in the forest and shit and if it rains it fills with water, you can then fill your water bottle from it like a well. Great for us bandits who work alone.

This would add so much to the game! But the sounds you hear would have to be normal game sounds, foot steps, zombies, gun shots, etc... Things to just throw you off in the game. If I here "over here" or something like that, I will know to ignore it because its a sound im not usually use to. If I heard a gun shot and started walking towards it and then suddenly I didn't hear them anymore or it was in a completely different direction I would be like "Wtf IS GOING ON?!?!! *Runs into ocean*". These could also be side affects of getting a disease! Dizzymagoo

I really like this idea. I wouldn't really use it for "stories" but I would use it for notes. Where I found people. Was he a survivor? How did I kill him? Which city had the best loot? What did I find? So I can track my patterns to give me an advantage over people.

Rocket, One more thing that could use a little more direction and organization would be server hosting. There are lots of people out there looking to host servers but there is a lack of communication between the people hosting and your team providing us with confirmed information. Maybe a dedicated forum section for people who are hosting? A blog for people who are hosting? Or an email list would even be sufficient! It seems as if maybe the team could use more server administrators(From a SQL and moderator stand point). I would be more than willing to donate my spare time to the community if it provides an easier environment for people. Dizzymagoo

Mojo, I completely agree with you. I too saw the same issues happening with my Denver 1 server. I managed to make it onto the white list for the SQL server and now i've been removed for some strange reason and now im trying to make it BACK onto it. Its just a living nightmare for us server hosters right now. Plus we have to deal with all the mindless assholes who think they know how to run servers from a client computer with no knowledge at all on how this all really works. For the people calling Mojo a liar. Please do not join Denver 1 server. You are obviously just trouble makers and i'd really hate to waste my time banning you. Regards, Dizzymagoo

Right now I run the Denver server off of an HP DL380 G3 server. It has 8 fans in it. It sounds like a dang vacuum cleaner. As my apartment isn't the biggest I couldn't sleep at all last night and the night before because it was so loud due to the load on it. Therefore I ordered the parts for a server to be dedicated to my DayZ Server! Core i5 2500k 16GB DDR3 1333 Mushkin Essentials ASUS P8H61-M LE Antec NSK 4482B Corsair H80 Cooler 2 x 500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue(Raid 1) 60GB Agility 3 SSD(For the arma server/boot drive) Parts should be here Friday. Its caused because of a whitelist on the SQL server. Get in contact with Antipop.

All I do is roam and patrol the north. I never announce where im at. Every person I see, is my next victim. I tracked some guy through 4 towns before finally catching him in a barn and took the shot.

Nope, it will still run on my old machine. Just waiting for an IP update right now and then I will turning the server back on. Should be up with in an hour or two.

I like the idea of the military convoy that could spawn and travel across the map. Loaded with "goodies" but it couldn't be that often. Maybe once in a 24hr period. That way the bandits can setup a place to slaughter the convoy and the survivors :D

You can run two instances of the watch dog(I would recommend this). However you can't run the watch dogs both from the same directory with the new feature im adding. It would cause mass conflict. With other features that im adding, it also eliminates your start up batch files. It will launch the executable directly with the parameters you add. Regards, Dizzymagoo

When you say its opening the server. Is it opening hive.exe? hiveAuth.exe? arma2oaserver.exe? Or all three? Thanks for the input! Im getting ready to release a new version, been working on it for hours. Hopefully I can get this issue resolved quickly. EDIT: I just ran it on my 32-Bit Server 2003 box and got this...
