You're no saint PlayZ that's probably why some people care very little about your thoughts on some subjects.

[DayZMod] The Dayz Statistics thread!

Build a Heat map! ...Do it! -
Yay another complete Rocket failure! ...Thanks for Beta testing your patch again with the (S)ame 50 or so carbon copied computers to really test the various different environments the patches run on. rocket hasn't learned from his past mistake(s), I fear his standalone will not be any better I don't understand why he doesn't use this vast community for the betterment of the mod, im sure hundreds would be willing to help beta test new patches for him any time of day! ...its probably time for a break given rocket cant clean up his own graphical glitch mess.

so, other then to be like everyone else and work towards finding the gun, you went down the cheater road and hacked in a few for yourself. No matter your story, you have the mentality of a cheater and a hacker.

You have been detected using script hacks....

always screenshot odd or weird messages you don't understand. it helps when you ask questions on a forum like this. -
you better be damn good with that gun because 20 shots isn't very much since you will now need to farm Crash Sites for Ammo

being an admin, for 2 day z servers, my power is very limited to kicking, restarting a server and talking globally to all players on the server :P mostly to say the server is being reset and they need to get out of cars and save tents before it resets. admin is very very misunderstood, we get blamed as much for teleporting and explosions as hackers do.. "its probably an admin having fun"

being that I have 3 Satellite base camps to my main camp, and only 1 has ever been discovered. I don't think any one person could destroy a good groups operation its always best to stakeout the base camp you discovered and kill the team/person at their home, as it has an awesome effect of making them less likely to return (unless its to make a last ditch effort to rearm before they move.) I hope you don't think running over the tents is destroying the base. :P

thanks for the reply Sna.ke The data usage you have listed is alot, but not above what I expected on this type of game with so much position data floating back and forth Business plan internet from my isp lists guarantee up-time/bandwidth for each speed plan. but truly you can only trust that far as "acts of god" allows But I am more curious about the location requirements now, I understand wanting a tight leash on things, but control over a box is the same inside a data center and outside, as I've gone into many Data centers, one, being the biggest in California I believe, Savvis in Irvine, CA But if it boils down to be simple security trust, that's much more understandable then micro (box) management. - Vulc

can you explain the reasoning behind such rules for no home hosted servers, I personally can achieve the 100MB connection requirement with a plan change, but I cant justify renting a closet at a data center because offsite location is a requirement. and to be clear this is only to host a DayZmod.com approved server correct?

Any else have any knowledge in this area?

I have a Spare server that's only collecting dust atm, does it have enough power to run a DayZ Server? Tyan Thunder i7505 (S2665) Motherboard http://www.tyan.com/...underi7505.html Two Physical - Xeon 2.8ghz Cpu (mPGA604) 8gb DDR Memory 1gb Nic with a 15/5mb internet connection Think it has a 250gb HD 7200rpm I don't believe it will hold 40 people. but if it gets close to 20 that's good enough, and I can see a bottle neck being the internet connection as well.

Give admins banning rights and why.
Vulc replied to Despuiter's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
The 15y/o kids who hack are also some of the 15y/o kid Admins running off their mom and dads credit card kicking and banning at a whim because their camp was raided, and given any more power, they would ruin this game.
