    Game is growing too fast?

haha yeah, i just spent about 2 hours using the flares and attention that 2 players drew away from me regarding zombies, shadowing them all the time without letting them know i'm there. Nighttime CAN definatly be fun for that kind of play.

The New Zombie Count is AWESOME

I didn't get to play with this patch yet, but my general idea of zombie amount is the following: .) Big towns: Lots of zombies. .) small towns: small amounts or none at all (should change places though, or variable respawn, so that sometimes they spawn but other times they don't after they get cleared out) .) wilderness: sometimes a big wandering horde, sometimes single undead hikers, sometimes non at all. As much as i like the zombiethreat, it is also a great athmospheric feeling, when i enter a small settlement with 5 houses, not finding any lifesign and not knowing if that means there are just no zombies, or that the town just recently got cleared out and a bandit group could still be there somewhere. On another note, Pvp should be a part of this game...and this comes from a person who normally won't PvP if not needed. I just watched "The Road" to get into a postapocalyptic feeling and even though there are no zombies, it shows that people can become wild animals in such a scenario too. Groups of people turning into raiding cannibal parties for example.

    Way to distinguish friendlies

custom player models would help too. edit: oh...was suggested allready, but yeah, i support this

    Day / Night Rotation

if they speed it up 2x AND start the servers out of sync, you would eventually have totally mixed up cycles, which means .) everyone can have .) everything .) anywhere Toss in clocks as a starting item and you can easily find out what time the server you login currently runs

    MERGED: Gamma & Brightness

Well, brightness for me changes the intensitiy of the sky, so while it does not get much better, i can make out landscape AGAINST that lighted backdrop better

    Day / Night Rotation

i think it needs to have either different (time system wise) servers or needs to be speed up to another RL time/ingame time ratio. At least as long as there are peaktimes where you have a hard time getting into servers. I wanted to play yesterday for the first time, wasn't possible during the day so i had to try again when it was dark...not a good way of trying out the game for the first time as you can imagine

    Idea ? Lights.

lol i just logged in to make a similar suggestion, though mine is surely easier to implement. I wanted to suggest, that there should be some random and few lightsources. Those would be a major point of interest for survivors and bandits and also would help ease the situation with the need for brightness and gamma values. For example..the lighthouse could still light up, resulting in a dynamic lightsorce that moves in a circle, which makes it both more suspenseful and dangerous, cause one moment you are hidden, the next you get light up. Or some single buildings or even only rooms, construction lights with built in generators standing around on streets and so on

    MERGED: Gamma & Brightness

that moon light effect...is it tied to any special settings? I never saw that and just have pitch black. I changed around some graphic settings before starting the game, logged in and thought something was broken, but in fact it was just night and i had to move around a little to find the ocean, since i can only make out the sky and ocean and shapes in front of them.

    MERGED: Gamma & Brightness

I can only say that i NEED to tune those two values up during the night or else i see absolutely nothing except the sky and the water. Even then i barely can call the game playable at night. In RL i see way more than the guy in the game during the night, cause you should be able to at least see a few steps ahead of your current position, especially when your eyes are adjusted to the darkness
