I think it has to do with using arma 2 free, I have one computer on the steam of arma 2 and OA and the other on free arma 2 from steam and OA. On my arma 2 free, I get the stuck at host when using 1.61 but not using 1.60. But on my other computer with both games steam paid for it runs fine on 1.61.

I just recently got this game for my girlfriend, she wanted to try. She purchased the operation arrowhead off steam and downloaded the arma 2 free. We did this because I was reading a tutorial and it said you can get DayZ to work with the free version of arma 2 and legit version of OA. I got it all set up except now when I launch the game I get the error "error creating direct3d 9 graphical engine" I googled the error and and found lots but nothing that could help me. Im pretty sure it has to do with my target launch path I have set for my Arma OA. This is what I got written... "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" -mod=Arma2;EXPANSION;CA -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ -nosplash" Does anyone see any errors in it? Or does anyone else play DayZ the same way and can share with me how they got it running. Im pretty sure tho if I can just sort through this command it would run fine.
