Arma 2 is an elite simulation hobby played by tactical players, many with real combat xp. it's not surprising that a hardcore PC only hobby does not attract millions of players. And BI does not really care for petty change from DayZ driven sales, they get tens of millions in licensing and training from a dozen of militaries using their Virtual Battlefield system to train real soldiers. To those old enough to remember - Arma 2 is like the original academic internet and DayZ is like AOL, Internet was destroyed when AOL masses were unleashed onto the public Internet.

AKM, best open sights in game (FAL's sites are god awful, take half your screen), ammo is plentiful abd it looks damn cool as a bonus!

Most likely to dupe tents and you need duped tents to store all that duped gear. I recently found a tent with 30 tents in it.

M1911 since it's the only gun (along with revolver which is slightly worse, it's shiny, slower and takes less ammo) that still packs a punch against the infected. It's important because you can not always count on getting a headshot.

It's still a a pain in the ass as of 17.2.6, I take items out of my backpack into a tent, then put the back pack there (or it will eat the items in the pack half the time), then change skins. Of course it still has an unfortunate side affect of you know what.

If you alt-f4 after being hit (but still alive) you will vanish into thin air, however if you disconnect right after seeing you are dead, the other players will see your body sinking into the ground.

Let me ask you,how did DayZ gain the initial 1M players,brought attention of all the major game media, and sold hundreds of thousands Arma 2 copies? Was it through ads on game sites and clever marketing? No, it was due to comminity's word of mouth telling everyone how aboslutely awsome the mod was that brough people to DayZ. And just like that a dissastisfied coomunity could become his downfall. Some suits brainwashed Rocket that it was important to go to conventions to tell other suits how great the DyaZ concept is. Why Rocket? You have already gained our attention and money, a month ago I bet a million people would have pre-ordered DyaZ standalone giving you time, money and freedom to work on both the mod and standalone for as long as you wanted.

Not for me. Pitch a new tent on flat ground away from trees, put some items, wait 5 minutes then save once. After server restart tent is in the exact same spot but empty.

Since I have memorized all the interview q&a by now I could probably fake NZ accent and work as Rocket's body double freeing him up for more valuable endeavors.
