I believe of course , but I'm shocked. Seems like one of the most guarded secrets in history.

Wow, they weren't lying about redoing Zelenogorsk! I'm a little worried my 486sx not cutting it, do you think it's be prudent to invest in a math co-processor and a cache module? What memory extender are you running, does it support adlib or SoundBlaster16 only? Give us more.

Rocket's coming out can only mean one thing - the Final Lap is done.
-
I don't believe for a second members of the tiny hand-picked closed test team don't know the date.
-
I've decided I'd be a very bad closed tester )) wouldn't be able to follow the NDA and torture my fellow gamers KNOWING the release date.
-
Rocket was posting totally epic screenshots yesterday, just got another one [from him] . I got goose bumps, barely holding myself back.
-
Mmmmm, I definitely saw an AK model in several devblogs. (before it was cancelled)
-
They are removing all traces from Steam. The worst fears are coming true.
-
Rocket has cancelled dayZ and is playing privately with his buddies! http://imgur.com/maY3LUR
-
Could go either way I reckon. Maybe RV engine did not work out in the end, or maybe Steve Bercu made an offer Rocket could not refuse.
-
Yes and NO. The version history clearly says it was DELETED. Rocket is taking his toys home.
-
Hopefully it was not the only code repository site! Years of development gone...
-
At least the wait is over. Despite the cancellation I feel... strangely relieved.

Nice one, except you conveniently forgot an update from October 15th: If anything this indicates their Sprints being two weeks long with second sprint starting on/around October 15th.
-
Amazing how rumors will flourish in the absence of authoritative updates, who woulda thought?
-
A screenie with him inside saying he's not ready to come outside. Seem to follow the same schema as the one with him literally mid-sprint saying that their in mid-sprint within the SCRUM framework. So it's not ready yet, anyone seeing deeper meaning?

3pm In Czech Republic and no new activity on Steam :( looks like I will have to cry myself to sleep again.
-
I'd be watching Steam like a hawk today during US business hours, it's possible they uploaded it and are waiting for Steam to release it. Something beautiful is happening.

"The introduction to Solaris is very long and slow, involving car traffic and nothing of the drama and pace it gains later. On direct question from the Soviet censor overseeing the production, Tarkovsky said he made this sequence boring on purpose: "so that the idiots leave before the actual movie starts"."

I don't believe Release of a Czech game by a Kiwi game designer would be tied to an obscure British date or a US kids holiday for the supernatural. This is a serious survival simulator based on a quasi-scientific viral theory not a haunted house game.

It's not the renaming that is the most significant. The bumping of the version number from some ancient build to the current indicates that they have picked a Release candidate build and pushed it as Early Access Release version. All they have to do now is pus the button. It's getting significantly more imminent, I feel like we are entering the earlier stages of Release.
-
Please. I don't believe they knew exact date for the end of the last Sprint two months in advance.
-
Oh sh*t, I think it's really happening!

Turning a reasonable concern into a joke is what you consider sensible? Let me see, the already had the Engine, the map and models and a working dayZ script from the mod. Sure some modifications were needed to the existing engine and the map. And from the errors that popped up on screen in the E3 video dayZ SA is still just some Arma script code. And you comments about so-called "professional" programmers working on the SA - the joke is on you, in the last year small groups amateurs took various branches of the mod above and beyond what will be available in the SA, at least on the initial release.
