I prefer Six Updater. Have you downloaded the beta patch for Arma II? Download 94876, not the newest one as it is bugged. Extract the file if you downloaded the zip and run the .exe installer. If it continues, its the server usually on you first try it takes 20m. http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/

It saves automatically. You can join any server and will have the same stuff in your inventory and be in the same position.

Usually you want to spawn in Cherno or Electro. Cherno is PVP high, since it has loot for beginners, check the apartments, they are filled with new backpacks, guns and ammo. After that, I suggest going to the super market. Go prone when crossing roads, always keep an eye on your back and roofs. Stay out of the treelines sight as there may be snipers. Once you get to the super market, there is usually a primary weapon and some food, usually after that I go to the fire station to maybe loot a better gun. this is how I start off

Find a weapon, Play third person, always go prone when crossing roads, crouch when Zed are near, go to Elektro and loot.

Then you are a version behind. My advice, get Six Updater, automatic updates and way easier to find servers.

That patch is bugged, either wait for the new one or downgrade.

I suggest using TeamSpeak or Steam Party for teams.

You abort, it saves automatically. You can join any servers and it joins server. I thought this game was boring at first, then I played with 3-4 friends, it changed everything.

This isn't an RPG This is survival. Don't play this like any other zombie game. Don't run.

-The story of my first kill- I was walking, I had the usual, I really don't kill people and I avoid them and carry my own way, but was I was walking into Cherno, I saw a flare, I had a winchester and an M1911. I was walking towards the flare since it was near the construction site when I spotted a survivor. Immediatley I yelled friendly and he said friendly back. I went over and asked for medical supplies or any ammo for my M1911. He said no, and he had no weapons except a hatchet. I continued to find ammo up the stairs of the construction site when I turn around and suddenly hes behind me with an axe, my first instinct was to shoot him. I'm sorry if I killed you, but please don't sneak up on me like that.

True, I feel kinda bad, but on the other note he had cooked meat and I needed blood.

Six Launcher is NOT a virus, unless you arn't downloading the right one. Six Launcher is the easiest way to install mods and join servers.

Nope, you should be fine now. If it doesn't work, downgrade a patch.
