actually there was an official date. It was 2012. But yeah, we all know how well dean is with dead lines :D. In the end what we want is a finished product. I just wish he was more concentrating on the game rather than abusing his fame but oh well... the end product will be good for sure!!INB4 the alpha won't be out on June so stop the hopes right now. So is there any fix for this. At first i spawn in the debug land but when i got to a different server i was on the east coast of the map with nothing. Not even the starting gear. Not even a backpack. So i lost my coyote backpack(24 slots), NVG, camo, G17,8 steaks, ton of sodas ak74 kobra,... can i fix this or am i basically done? Seems like this patch made everything worse.

no... you can't be banned for that. It's their fault the exploit is there. You're not hacking you're using the exploit that's put into the game. No one also states that it's illegal. By that logic you could get banned for getting off your broken bike and back on which repairs it. It's an exploit.

you do realize that games that big cost 60$ right? Do you really think rocket will release the final version for 15$??? Stop comparing it so much with minecraft which is cheap because it doesn't deserve more. Minecraft is a N64 game the way it looks. It can be played on the iPhone. DayZ is a standalone PC game. If it can be played on the iPhone then ok it's worth 15$ max, but if it can only be played on a decent pc then it's worth muuuuch much more. It's just the same model people gosh. That's like expecting to pay 25$ for a COD game which offers much less than DayZ and costs 100$ if you want all the content.

I didn't vote for it because i think other games might deserve it more. No doubt about it, the game is fun and incredible but what most of us can see is the idea behind it. I'm sure that the standalone will be amazing and i i will buy the most expensive edition the day it will be out but in this state the game isn't quite as good as it could have been and some other developers who worked hard to actually perfect their games should deserve this more in my honest opinion. I understand that the hacker thing is not really your fault but we haven't seen much new in months. And Rocket seems to have abandoned us after the game got famous.

it's a zombie apocalypse.... it's illegal to kill random people on sight. People don't care! And yes you can wear a backpack and this weapon on your back what a stupid question. You can just stick it in between your back and your backpack. It makes it even easier if anything. Stop making stupid suggestions in a zombie apocalypse. Everyone will try to go the extra mile and do everything it takes to survive.

So here's my story: I had NVGs, ak74 kobra, camo, g17, tons of steaks and sodas, gps, map, atv and i got spawned on the east coast with no gear. I ran all the way to elektro but my food meter started blinking and i began to lose blood. I managed to find a revolver and a can of food and went into the office building to find at least a backpack. And there was a bandit waiting. Luckily i killed him and got my 1st bandit kill. But i lost a lot of blood and broke my bones. I have 173 blood currently. I had to crawl into the hospital to get morphime but now there's nothing more i can do. With that much blood and no friends(mine abandoned me after i lost my gear) the only thing to do is to quit. But I'm not giving up! Can someone please help me. I'm from europe.

i think he still is but because he's working with the creators of the engine he'll be able to change the core of the engine instead of just building on the existing engine.

here's what happened. I went to a server and got stuck on the loading screen. I ctrl+alt+del to exit teh game. I go on another server and it suddenly say i was killed and i'm wating 5 seconds to respawn. I respawn in the debug land with all my gear. I abort and disconnect and go to another server and then this happens. Not sure if it's even possible to get my gear back.

i hope rocket realizes there's no more fooling around with the standalone game we will pay for. I know that we aren't paying for this mod so the shitty new version is forgiven. But when we pay for the standalone alpha he has to work a bit harder on those patches.It's gonna be more serious then. Keep that in mind rocket. People will then have a right to rant about spawning on the coast with no gear after 15 hours of gameplay like just happened to me. I now understand that this is only a mod and free and an experiment. And i'm not that mad really i'll just start over again. But you have to realize that things will change when we pay for your game. You will carry more responsibility.
