Unbelievably Slow Download

Ok, thank you, I have it running now :) -
I have DayZ running smoothly and how it should be, but I've been playing ArmA II (Retail) vanilla for quite a long time, like in the editor, armory, and campaign. Sadly though, this mod limits all of those aspects for online play and removing the mod isn't as simple as take the folder out like in ACE or most other mods. When I remove the folder, I get an error message "Error creating Direct3D 9 Graphical engine" and the game won't start. So my question is, how do you completely uninstall DayZ without uninstalling the whole game? Or what files do I need to remove?

I have been a fan of ArmA for about 4 years now. I am very proficient at the game only recently learned of DayZ. My retail CO is fully updated with the PMC and BAF light versions installed. Today is my day off so I figured I'd like to try and get DayZ running. As of now, I am updating DayZ as I am getting the game ready to play. I started the download for the mod at 11:00 AM and the time of this post is 4:00 PM. When I first start the download, it download quite fast until it reachs the 85% mark, in which the download slows down to an unbelievably slow speed. Currently 4.5 KB/s. Is this normal? As you all can see, I am new (1st post). So please take that into consideration.
