So my neighbor got mad at me. He came over and asked if he could borrow some gas for his lawnmower, because his ran out and he wasn't able to get to the gas station in time (the weather forecast said it would rain within the hour). I told him no problem. He was walking into my garage, and my wife walked up to him and slapped him right in the face. Right after it happened, his wife and kids saw the incident, grabbed some garden tools, and came after us. Some other neighbors noticed the commotion and began approaching us. I didn't want any trouble, so I started running. What a day...

Yeah it's happened to me several times. You gut the animal and if you wait a bit, you can't loot it. Sometimes it despawns too. This. Immediately hit G while gutting and you'll be able to take the steaks.

You COULD buy ArmA II right now and play DayZ in its current state OR... You could meet me in a shady part of town and i'll hook you up with a pre-order standalone DayZ. Hopefully you're comfortable with buying things out of my trunk. The urine smell will go away after a few hours.

I'm going to stop playing. Until I get home from work, then I'll play again. They're going to keep the alpha mod updated as they work on the standalone, so I'll still keep playing.

Blood packs are for healing a friend. Killing animals, gutting them and cooking the meat is for healing yourself. Ever tried to give yourself a blood transfusion? It's messy, and I'll never do it again.

I would love to buy some shirts from the dev team. It would be a great way to donate to the project. I see a bunch of places selling shirts, but a lot of them seem shady or have low quality. Just a black shirt with the DayZ logo is fine with me.

Well if you take The Walking Dead's idea that everyone is infected, and death turns you, then it would work. How about a body is dead up until a certain amount of time; say 20 minutes. After that time, the player's corpse becomes a zombie with a 40% chance of looting when said zombie is killed. It would be pretty cool seeing a survivor zombie limping around in the distance!

This was from a few weeks ago right when the hacking started getting really bad. I had heard about it, but never experienced anything. I was a fresh spawn playing on a server, and trying to meet up with my friends. I was heading towards the factory when I heard gunshots going off. Since I was a new spawn, I didn't care about getting killed, so I went to investigate the shots. I saw a bandit chasing 2 survivors up a hill. Deciding to leave them alone, I started running back towards the tree line when a chopper spawned directly in front of me. I ran up to it and climbed into the driver's seat, when I heard a gunshot, then YOU ARE DEAD. Then everyone else on the server got spawned into a pile, where they massacred each other. ;(
