I have a whole clan of friends to roll with and since we are talking about a game, I'll throw some movie ref's in here. Walking Dead, the show Jericho, or the movie The Road. All post apocalyptic shows, all have people turning on eachother to survive. We are animals, we have instincts and mine that my world will be around longer without you in it to eat food I could eat, or shoot me when my backs turned.

I dont kill people cause I think its fun, I kill people to take their stuff. This is survival right? no one said it wasnt survival of the fittest.

Aim a little higher. I forget where I got the option. Try standing at the back by the tail rotor, slightly to the right side. Or back around the right side winglet at the back facing the hull or the center of the chopper. Also I hope you have a big crew with 4 jerry cans each. It takes a looooong time to refuel a huey with 1 or 2 guys with only 1 or 2 jerry cans each.

I dunno dude, I like lobbing nades at unsuspecting people better. It's alot more reliable than one 7.62 round. Speaking of 7.62 rounds, I love the 3rd person players. I've had 2 AK's unloaded on my during my current 14 day life. They were both within 20 feet, I survived both and killed the shooter (the second one was a little better, he actually hit me once).

Shit spawns in buildings, there are maps online that show the best loot spawns, you can re-bind your controls if you dont like them. No one here cares if you dont like the game, buyer beware, take that up with Rocket or BI. Also there is a free version of Arma 2 you could have downloaded to check out how it is before you paid for it. If you want help, just ask, if you want to kick and scream cause you didnt check out a demo before throwing out your credit card number this isnt really the place. Try googling "Dayz Map", "Dayz loot spawn map", "Dayz loot table". The reason your map doesnt work is cause you havent found one yet. Play the arma 2 boot camp and SP campaign if you wanna learn the controls before you run into someone like me in game that will just shoot you for the pepsi you found and send you back to the beach.

For Ace stuff it works alright but this can cause trouble with acre and I find there is less trouble with Acre and Ace mods using 6updater. Also going through 6updater is usually better than 6launcher I find anyways. The only thing I use 6launcher for is server browsing for DayZ. Everything else I use A2L from the link above or the full 6updater.

I don't have issues with trusting anyone, by the time I'm close enough to talk to them I've already killed them. People are so generous when they are dead. They share everything with you and you don't have to worry about them shooting you in the back when you part.

I wouldnt have let you say hi to me. I'm not young either. I kill if someone has something I want. I kill if someone is looting an area I'm there to loot (I dont want their leavings) I kill because I think your presence threatens mine or my friends. Sometimes I just kill cause I'm bored. I wont greet and talk to someone then kill them, thats just dishonest. I will however allow my friends to pick up players along the way, but I never do the greeting and rarely do much talking other than what needs to be said to survive. The reason is I dont trust anyone. This all changes if you come on my clans teamspeak though. I find it easier to trust people when they come on real voice coms for some reason. Catch 22 is you would have to meet and team up with one of the guys before they gave you the teamspeak info to get on the server. This is how one bandit's mind works.

Escape. respawn. Or head to the edge of the map, you are probably in the south west. Once at the edge head left and you should come to the shore again. Then follow the shore. Or find zombies, let them kill you, then respawn if the respawn button is greyed out.

Very carefully. If the shot is just from someone shooting a zombie to loot a building then chances are you will be able to get close without being noticed. If the shot came from someone camping out players approaching them without knowing where they are is pretty much the last thing you want to do if you dont want to have to wake up on the beach again in 5 minutes. If someone doesnt want to be found you wont find them either. Most people move away after firing incase players come looking. I usually move to a place where I can see where I shot from and wait for people to go looking for me.

ya that usually starts after using the sights on a gun and holding down the right mouse button to zoom in. I find it happens most when using an aim point sight but it does happen without that too. Just geometry getting messed up, Its a by-product of the game engine I believe. Re-logging or restarting your game will make it go away.

My advice to new players is -play the bootcamp to learn the controls -play the arma 2 SP campaign to lean the map and get a feel for how it works -play DayZ I've been playing this series for 10 years, first time I joined in to DayZ I was alive for 10 days playing a few hours a day. 530 Z kills, 10 players. Died to a random zombie hit that knocked me out and I had to sit and watch it eat me.

Single players can benefit alot from thinking more too. I've spent alot of time solo in DayZ, and when I am I rarely meet people cause I'm always travelling through forests, and avoiding any town that doesnt have anything useful to me. When I hit the airfield or stary camps solo I move in through forests at off angles where people rarely go and watch and wait, scanning the other tree lines. Then go in, search the place and leave through the most direct route and off again into the forests to head to the next area. Alot of times when I see players getting killed solo its either in the starting areas or because they like to travel through open fields or just draw a straight line from where they are to where they are going. One night at NW I was attacked by 5 guys, by running around behind buildings, and taking over in trees I managed to get 4 of them and left the last to run away (I wasnt aggressive enough to follow). This isnt because I'm necessarily a better shot or I'm super leet. I just saw what I had to work with and used the terrain against them and let them follow me from 1 spot to the next. Two of the best guys I play with joined the clan after I shot one of them in Cherno. Came under fire from somewhere by an AK. Ran through the buildings and up a ladder to behind where I thought he was, shot someone on the roof. Once I came up to him I realized he didnt have an AK and healed him up. Been playing together ever since.

Welcome to DayZ! If you are worried enter a server with a low player count to start off. Once you get gear, look around for your big boy pants, I think they spawn around deer stands, airfields, stary military camp or berenzino mil camps. Once you have them put em on and pull those big boy pants right up.

Small chance but if you are near a town some random residential buildings spawn morphine. Also all military buildings have a chance to spawn morphine!

If you mean flyable helo's then not really. The spawn locations are reset everytime they spawn if no one has fixed them up and flown them away. No choppers wont spawn again until the current ones in use are destroyed or have been innactive for 3 days. After these things happen they will respawn at 2 locations out of: Rog Castle, Cherno hospital, NE AF, NW AF when the server restarts. But like he said they are disabled right now. If you mean chopper crash sites, those change every server restart. So if you are in a server with 4 restarts a day, stick around stary sobor. When the server restarts I've had most of my luck around NW AF, and the fields all around stary in about a 5 KM radius.

The glow sticks dont fully work unless you have a bag of pills and techno music.
