Tried Six Launcher???? BTW, You must run both Arma 2 & Arma 2 Comb Ops so it adds registry keys to your registry... -
I had this issue when I was playing SWTOR. I had to Role back to an Older Nvidia Graphics Driver.... then 301.42 came out and all was well.....

i have also re-installed my Gfx drivers & DX9 drivers too. Still crashes to desktop.. -
Played the game for 2 weeks with no crash to desktops. but with beta version 1.62.95208 i get game crashed between 0 seconds and a 5 minutes on entering the map.... I have uninstalled both Arma 2 & Arma 2 CO, deleted the Steam game folders. and re-installed both via Steam and Run Six Launcher is update Beta & DayZ. and still get the access Violation. Attached is the .rpt file in txt format. arma2oa.mdmp is too large to attach here.... Crash_ArmA2OA.RPT.txt
