I think using a controller would be nice but it seems you cant remap the controls too easily... or atleast for me. The default controller setup is really bad.

yeh happened to me, first proper kill for me! His body seemed to suck into the floor on the first floor of the building, i looked on the ground floor but saw no body.

awww, my first kill was sad, i was looting in a building when this guy runs in with no weapon, but he startled me and i hacked him once with my hatchet and he ran off. I instantly regretted it :/ but he must have bled out around the corner. I have only played DayZ for like 3 days and am just getting into it.

Exact same problem, its the reason i came here to look for a solution. The Screen goes completely black and fades in for about 2-3 seconds of visibility.
