    Stop Crying.

mmmm.. those beans certainly are good. Two of my murders have come from hearing bean munching, then nervously camping until the poor fool runs into my room.
  2. Specifically, I meant the way the humanity variable is adjusted and how it effects your classification as a bandit for killing purposes rather than discussing the skin change.
  3. Proposed Change: If I'm correct, the humanity penalty for killing a non-bandit is the higher of 2500 or their humanity level. I feel this penalty should be changed to the higher of 0 or their humanity level. Reason: Because killing players is the only way to lose humanity, this change would penalize players less for killing those who have killed before and are likely to be transitioning to bandit status. Example: -Wanabe Bandit with 2 murders and a bit of playtime to bring him back up above official "bandit" status sees survivor with 0 murders. -Survivor hails for news. -Bandit fires on sight. -Survivor kills bandit in self defense. -Survivor is currently penalized -2500 humanity. (I recommend 0 in this situation) -If this happens twice, then the survivor becomes a bandit himself. Conclusion: This doesn't solve all return fire issues, but it eases the need to debate bandit humanity cutoffs. What do you think? -Dax

Too easy not to starve/die of thirst

The blinking icons last for an entire cycle- sort of like having 1 bar on your gas tank.. there's still a gallon in there! If you're really trying to stretch out that last bit of food/drink, you don't instantly die, you only lose about 10 blood per second. So, feel free to start losing blood before you drink or eat, and you'll be a-ok. Keep in mind that you'll regain 200 blood with a can of food, or 800 blood with meat.. so you can afford to lose a little here or there. Source: I dropped my food and water near an empty tent in the middle of nowhere and they glitched away.. so I was stranded with red food and drink, spent about 10 minutes looking for my glitched away FAL.. and then after about 5 minutes of blinking food and drink, I gave up and ran for 20 minutes to the nearest town. About 5 minutes in, I started ticking down from 12000. I made it to the town with about 6000 hp and started shooting zombies. It took a surprisingly large amount of zombies to kill before I got a drink off of one. (~50). Needless to say, I think if you start blinking red, as long as you're heading towards a town, you should never die of hunger/thirst because you'll be a closer than I was.
  5. Many servers have recently been renamed to conform with standard naming conventions. If you can no longer find your regular server because you know it as (e.g.) "Seattle 46" and not the host name there is an easy way to find it. This can be disheartening to people with tents / vehicles that think their server is perpetually offline. First, google "seattle 46" day z "Hosted By" obviously, insert your server in place of seattle 46, but make sure the quotes are the same as I listed. Don't click on any links, but in the results, you'll see a list of the cached information for your server whose name has recently changed. For instance, gametracker.com search result says something to the effect of: "Seattle 46 (v1.7.1.1) dayzmod.com - Hosted by The Begotten 216.244.82.90:2332 - ARMA 2 Server" The host name in this example is "The Begotten". Alternatively if the ip information is available you can use this if the following steps fail. Then, visit http://www.gametrack...m/search/arma2/ and type in your host name. You should see the new server name (e.g.) "US 662" in the search results. An additional tip: If "i" doesn't work on your server, you can still find out what server you're on - or the server you just d/c'd from by going to http://www.gametrack...y=online_player and searching for your in-game name. It updates about once every 3-5 minutes or so, so there's not much time to do this! "Don't shoot me, is all I ask." -Daxon
