I can't be a hundred percent sure on this, but given the fact that I was attacked by some clown outside Kamorovo with a hatchet and no other gear, blasted him with my M1911, and got a bandit kill, I can only assume that your bandit accolade is attached to your CD-Key, and not you your current life. I've really nothing to base this on except that one occasion, so if anyone with more experience could clarify for us it'd be great :)

It'll begin to blink when you're really low. I usually don't wait that long, as when you double tap W to sprint, the speed of your sprint is determined by hunger and hydration, but if you're moving around relatively slowly and not expending too much energy running flat out you should wait til the icon's blinking :) Hope this helps buddy, good luck to ya.

@Neo, Magnum, and Visi. This thread is hysterical, I haven't been playing this game for too long ( about a month or so) and I've seen the problems these guys are having on several servers. As was mentioned earlier, the server admins hands are tied, and just because you butthurt little dickwads got your gear ganked you've come here crying over it. Catch a grip kids, and read the Hotfix Patch notes, or STFU&GTFO of DayZ altogether. This community doesn't need whiny little bitches like you, and we certainly don't need to hear your incessant moaning. If you have such a problem with the server, play elsewhere. From what I gather none of you pay a penny towards it, and as such, can fuck off. I have nothing whatsoever to do with CGU, but I can't stand assholes like you who feel like just because someone handed you your ass on a plate that you need to spout incessant BS on the forums. That's not to mention that your spelling, punctuation, and grammar would make a 6 year old wince with embarrassment. Do yourselves a favour, and disappear back into obscurity where you belong, before more people notice your blatant ass-clownery. @CGU - Hope you guys get your server sorted, I genuinely believe that you guys aren't hacking. You are not recalling correctly. I was killed a few days ago on Green Mountain while carrying my treasured M107 along with a tonne of other gear. Came back to the spot about 2+ hours later to find all my gear still there, which was then shared amongst the friends I'd brought with me to help me search. Got my Barrett back though :) That isn't to say that bodies don't just disappear sometimes, just that it doesn't seem to me that corpse persistence is as low as 15 minutes. I'm actually being quite reserved with my estimation of how long it took to return to Green Mountain, could well have been longer in truth. Anyway, good luck to you OP, I know how heartbreaking it can be to lose something you searched so long to find!

I'm wondering this myself, I've just put down a tent containing a CZ550, MP5SD and a Revolver. Don't really want to lose it all since I'm rolling solo :s

Thanks for the replies guys, full system restart seems to have done the job as I've been playing solidly since that. Just got my ass handed to me by some bandit gimp camping in the corner of Devil's Castle anyway, so calling it a night. Enjoy my DMR, you douche lol.

Only problem with that is that I'm way up in the northern territories and rolling solo, haven't found anyone willing to team up :(
