DayZ Staff: Start doing something about hackers. Now.

Question is how we are supposed to test the game if we can't do what we have planted to do cause of 3rd party programs "hackers" ? Let's say I want to test the heli. I need serious luck in order to after all manage to complete the repairs and use it with out getting killed by cheaters! Then someone will teleport me and killme! So what I am actually testing ATM is how to avoid the cheaters, which is not that great. I would gladly report my death if when I entered in the heli it koed me cause of a bug, but reporting that got killed by an unkillable cheater who was blocking my entry in the heli is just a joke. -
Exactly thats the point we need reason to make pvp wortless for our progress, so as you will have to be very well organized and skilled in order to rule the server as you want and at the same time be able to avoid deaths from zombies and other groups of players that will try to stop you from growing stronger, after all the post catastrophic scenario says that people will try to group up in order to survive and to do this will have to control the resources of the map and annihilate possible threats. Zombies have to become a threat cause as it is ATM I don't get how these two legged half eaten things managed to destroy whole nations it's like walk in the park facing them.

But cause you lose all ur progress with a death if you are a solo or small group player makes it hard for that player to work on future long term goals. As I see the game atm we should focus on testing instead of actually playing cause any long term progress will somehow be lost either by bugs or cheaters.

Have to make people prefer to work together for something better and harder so as to not spent their time on killings just 4 fun as it is now.

Do you know why people kill players ? Cause pve is boring, it's like playing with bots. In every game npcs exist so as you farm. The real challenge is the players will always be like that the only way to decrease random kills "bandits" will be by making this action worthless of anything. Then you would need a war system between groups of players so as these players would stop killing random survivors and aim only for the members of the opponent team. So simple.

No matter what system you decide will be ok it will work as you say, but it's just not realistic as people avoid 3dp and name indicators the same people would avoid the bandit indicators. That's all.

Kiro the only problem is that we try to have a realistic game with unrealistic actions, but at the same time theres no realism when zombies included :P

You are right, but I would shoot people with guns cause they would do the same. But this have to do with that it is a game, not real life. I could slay people 4fun here, but in real life I would blame my self 4ever and I would feel really bad for my actions. The flag system and karma is the best possible Option to resolve that problem but idk if I want to see that in dayz. Tho with karma you would become target sth like most wanted and would require lots of support to survive with karma sth like making a gang of bandits. But as I said it's not lineage 2 it's dayz and any graphical indicator would destroy the element of realism. The other option would be go with your system and then set it as an option like the crosshair and 3dp, removable in hardcore servers.

I mean if you want to wear sth that says I am bandit then fine, if not the system shouldn't force you.

We hope that they will allow skin modifications In the future, which is good, being able to decide what you want to look like. But don't you think that any kind of indicators either it's tags, names, hats, uniforms are lame in a free game ? I mean its part of the danger and of the action not knowing what is coming to you every step you take. Not a bad idea tho, we ll see.

I agree with the idea, I am against any kind of indicators, there are no indicators in real life one of the greatest parts of the game and it's dangers is identification/communication, tks and traps are part of the action. -

Your thread your rules. Most probably I wouldn't open The journal more than a few times cause it's not an RPG and I don't need the backstory info. You may read them and write in the book. But I would prefer to loot your beans than your book. Gl with your suggestion tho. -
L85 is a beast we want it back even with the simple attachment scope, indeed thermal is op for this game.

Hi, Nice story. I think that the game it self allows you to create your own imaginary story, I mean you don't have to stick to the details of Rpg style game, cause dayz is more like mmo. Every time I get killed I restart with more friends and with an improved idea of how to play the game and yes I do survive more and the game gets more exciting and thrilling. I never die from zombies or players anymore cause we got our way to face the dangers as good as it is possible with what we got everytime and we set our goals to increase the range of our abilities, it's just imagination , don't worry it's alpha cheaters and pvpers run around and ruin the game, when the game is done you will notice it's way better to play your imaginary story and the small or solo bandid groups won't stop you, there is great depth already just wait to see the complete game. Tho any possible objectives and goals would be nice cause increase the challenge. Αfter all the idea is to be the boss in a chaos world -
Variation would be nice it will boost the pve side of the game.

Considering that when the game is fixed you won't die from bugs and cheaters, just from zombie heats, bullets and accidents, then it's a really good idea.

Its god mode either hack or glitch. Anyway it's an unfair exploit and it's the reason why the game experience got ruined. Gl next. -
