If you actually think about it you will notice that the same people that post on these forums are the people who play the game right now. This could come to great help when trying to understand the KoS mentality we have going on.

I don't have any idea even how to turn it on, wouldn't be able to fly one in a lifetime. :P This is a simulator, so we should aim for max realism, right? Of course taking the part of walking zombies apart. :D

I report anyone I see fit. It may not solve the situation but I know at least I'm making the mods work and doing my job. :P

I'm quoting and replying because that is how a discussion goes, you make a point and I refute or agree. I then make mine and you refute or agree. That is what we did on the first 2 replies I think, then it turned into a keyboard battle. Sorry for that. Maybe some time in the future. My group isn't really into pvp. We just like to sit around the fire and eat marshmallows like the good carebears we are. I would suggest looking at usual camp places like near NW airfield and the north of the map. Usually you can find at least one camp near the NW part of the map.

And try getting your cousin and yourself a car and driving it around Chernarious at night while it's raining. It's so immersive and good. You actually feel comfortable for being inside a car while it rains outside. 1/10 I replied.

You too don't get what "Suggestions" means, do you? It means someone suggests something pointing why they are suggesting it and the other players come and say why it is a good or bad idea. "Lol you don't like it don't use it XDDD" isn't an argument. And you just said yourself you never been in one and never played around in DayZ with one, if you did you would see how boring it becomes after some time and how it detracts from the exploratory and social aspects of the game. And yeah, I guess they were really bad then. :P Thanks for your input too! EDIT: We are thinking about hosting a duel to the death with some survivors. They can only use hatchets. The winner get's to fly it and take it home! :D Yeah but how many pilots you know irl? Not many I bet, unless you work at this kind of stuff. :)

I'm at work now and even if I wasn't I wouldn't tell you. This thread is not for picking on each other. It was just a suggestion and I'm interested in hearing how the other players feels about it. No need to prove who is better than who. Thanks for your input.

@Master Brain Yes, to green on a server with 30 people online almost all the time. My group is made of 6 people. I'm not saying a military background can't exist, it's just really highly improbable. You would be surprised by how many people haven't managed to take my chopper down then just by shooting at it. I've been downed some times but it usually took some time and was because my team got ambushed and killed so they couldn't provide me ground support. The point of this part of the forum is to make suggestions. I don't know if you get what that means.

Little birds like the ones used in farms are way easier to repair and operate than military choppers and I totally agree with you. However finding the parts for one would still be hard as hell even if not close to how hard it should be for helicopter parts. I don't find it easy at all to shoot the rotor even with a sniper. Didn't know about the engine and nobody ever did take me down by shooting at it. Thanks for the info!

The survivor is just a dude who woke up on the shore and is trying to survive. It's never hinted you were a military in the past or a pilot. I have fixed choppers several times. If you read the thread you will see me saying my group has one, we had several already. It's not that hard to find the parts at all. You can fill it up very quickly of you have 5 people working on it - like clans usually do. They aren't easy to shoot down at all. You need to shoot it several times to bring it down unless you shoot the pilot and kill him. You have a tutorial to teach you how to fly one so it being hard to fly isn't really a point here. There are 2 choppers per server. Repairing a car is not really hard. Almost every dude can do it. I agree that changing an engine is kinda ridiculous though and really hard. However they don't even come near the complexity of a helicopter. You aren't thirsty and starving all the time in DayZ. No I don't and I have made a suggestion on how weapons should degrade and require maintenance and how military gear should be nearly impossible to find. The opener is in your key chain, silly. :P

I was travelling with my friend from Elektro to Mogilevska. He had just started the game and knew nothing. We were going through the woods keeping the road on our left and I see this dude just standing a little closer to the road than we are, he is standing still, probably heard us. I yell to my friend to dive at Skype. He didn't see the dude and don't know what is going on. At this moment the dude turns to us. I panicked and shot. Never killed anyone that didn't shoot me first after that. Still feel kinda bad about it.

1. Okay? 2. Yup, you are right. 3. If you ever flew in a chopper you would know how easy it is to find a tent if you fly somewhat low.
