  1. Yes, please keep the spawning without a weapon. It makes the early game more dangerous which is important in a game like this. You have to understand there is a very vocal group that will try to get you to mold your game into a clone of so many others that just hold your hand and offer no challenge. The great devs know when to ignore those people and just go with their instinct. The others are solely in it for the money and eventually lose their playerbase.
  2. Speed isn't an issue at all for me using it. I do it just for convenience really. Most people are quite capable of doing the manual install, it's not rocket science and you aren't a computer genius if you know how to do it, but with the launcher there's no need. I like DayZ commander for selecting servers though.
  3. This all day. That's the beauty of sandbox games like this. You can turn the tables on the bandits and hunt them. Or side with the bandits. Carebears that want devs to constantly nerf and penalize players have ruined so many games it's not funny.
  4. You'd have to just disable all chat if it was enabled server wide because of all the window lickers. Nobody wants to listen to random bs while they're playing anyway. If you're close enough to interact with somebody then yes the chat is there have at it.
  5. Enfield all day between the two. Primary ammo is wasted on zombies, save that for players. Enfield one shots.
  6. That's just a ridiculous suggestion OP. With all the carebears playing we'll be lucky if we keep the system where you lose everything upon death. Besides most players are majorly attached to their gear, that's why so many alt-f4 out of combat, so to them death sucks bad enough.
  7. +1. It's my favorite weapon overall to be honest. Hatchet and M1911 are all I need. It would be nice to keep a sniper too though.
  8. None of this is gonna happen. I understand most players have been handheld by guilds and carebear mechanics their entire gaming lives but this is simply not the game for them.
  9. You don't really make much sense OP. I think you're saying you don't like the game? Who cares?
  10. Because prisons/law enforcement didn't get affected by the zombie apocalypse and are functioning 100% right? Lame idea, leave now carebears.
  11. This kind of thinking is what leads to the same old watered down games, then everybody is scratching their heads going why is there nothing exciting to play? Perfect example is Ultima Online. At launch it was so innovative, but a vocal majority got their way and basically made player killing impossible. That leads to more and more nerfs till the game is basically the same as every other one out there. The game doesn't have to be for everybody. That's ok, it'd be nice to have a developer that sticks to his guns. I think Rocket and his team are the ones to do it though. Carebears can leave now.
  12. It doesn't really matter what the carebears think because it's here to stay. If anything they should make guns spawn less.

OP you're playing the wrong game, leave now please. They don't need to cater to the WoW crowd in every single game.
  14. You can definitely have lone wolves in a game of this type, and be successful even. Squads can be fun, but most combat you ever run into is against 1 or 2 people making it no real challenge. To each their own though.
  15. I actually think spawnkilling adds to the game. If Cherno/Elektro were basically free loot to anybody spawning there it would remove any sense of vulnerability in those few minutes at character creation. You wouldn't have to work for anything, could just slowly stroll through town looting it dry. Also those unarmed players will soon be armed and then become a problem, it's a legit survival strategy.
  16. I was coming downstairs in a house carrying my trusty hatchet the same time a sniper was walking upstairs. The hatchet turned out to be better suited to cqb.
  17. Same here. If I use six launcher it reverts the 94945 back to 94876 automatically. It still gets stuck on waiting for host, then if i wait for a long while it comes back and says max players reached. Gonna try going back to 94700 and keepin 1.7.2.3 see if that works.
  18. kill myself and respawn, be back at the same level gearwise in no longer than a half hour or so.
  19. Sounds like you lost some gear you were attached to. People complaining about bandits always gotta preface it with "I got no problem with em personally cus I kill em all day, it's just kids out of school etc." If you got no problem with em then why complain? You do realize there would be no game without bandits right? The zombie AI is so bad you can round up a train of 50 and just run into a building and lay down to lose em.
